GemPro 250 Digital Scale - Awesome!!

Well, I guess I'll be, "the fly in the ointment". I'm on my 2nd one. At first I couldn't rave enough on the little bugger. In coming up with a load for my new 25.06 I started using the GP 250 all the time. When using the GP I would turn it on and let it sit overnight and load the next day. I...

Anyone have any experience with pulled SMK'S

I know you are talking about SMK but, I pulled 50 Blitz Kings the other day. They all looked like these and they shoot like new. Normally on pulled bullets I put them on the backburner but, with NO bullets to be found on shelves I'm using them right away.

    Primer analysis

In the process of wringing out my new 25.06 I ran into sticky bolt problems. My primers looked fine, no cratering . No ejector marks. I was really stumped on this one. I finally forgot the primers and started concentrating on loading down by 1/10 of a grain until the sticky bolt problem went away.

    270 loads

I use 55.0 grs. IMR 4350 with CCI primer and 130 NBT's. This is the only factory barreled rifle I own that I have never shot over the Chrony. I don't want to know how fast/slow the bullet is travelling. It shoots lights out! Two inches high at 100 yards and it hits perfect out to 300 yards.

    Wilson micrometer case trimmer

Thanks guys. Called Sinclair and the service tech told me exactly what you guys said. I guess I was expecting to see the case necks completely out of the case holder.

    Wilson micrometer case trimmer

Yes they do but...Wouldn't that then require different settings, based on how far the case enters the case holder? I think one of the trimmers advertising features is that once set to your desired trim length there's no adjustment necessary for every case.

Laminate flooring as a bench surface?

I went with the 3/4" plywood you mentioned and it's slick as a baby's bottom. 4 coats of poly on the top and it looks great and has lasted through many years of spills. I doubt laminate would make it through many spills before it started to buckle. I'm fighting with Home Depot on this very thing...

    Wilson micrometer case trimmer

So, I get my new Wilson case trimmer today, delivered by the big brown truck. Right now I'm in a tizzy and of course no techs available at Sinclair. I ordered case holders for my 25.06 and my .243 and that's what I got. If I take a brand new, never fired case it slides in perfectly. However, if...

    Primer question

My reloading room gets up as high as 86 degrees in the summer and my primers still work. Had the same concern as you when I first moved to NM. Now I don't give it a second thought.

    New from New Mexico

Had heard this site mentioned many times before on another forum I belong too. So, I figured I'd see what all the commotion is about. Nice place. Should've checked this forum out long ago. Always on the lookout for new info.

    loads for .25-06?

I just got my new .25 from the smith about 2 months ago. Took a while to get her going as I didn't have any brass, (still don't have enough). Anyway, using Win. brass, CCI primers and IMR 4350. Ended up at 53.0 grains pushing a Sierra 90 gr blitz king. It shot about 1/2 ". A couple of nights ago...

Gunsmithing Phoenix Custom Rifles work pics and reviews

My first post! You did the bolt knob on my old Rem. 721 and it came out great! I'm glad you called me and suggested a different knob then the one I had picked. I see why you did, it's perfect. John in NM.
