    Re: 1911 GUNSMITH Well, I hate to admit it but I tried to do the job. I bought the jig and everything but somehow took too much off or something. It just looks like sh*t. I haven't got any firm quotes on the job but if it is more cost effective to replace the frame then it is what it is.

    I need a good 1911 smith to fix a bad beavertail grip safety install. The area will probably need to be cut off and completely redone. Anyone have any suggestions?

    Re: Looking for some 4" 1911 advise Well, the more I look at the sig the less I like the FDE. So I'm looking at kimber and springfield. Being able to add a threaded barrel isn't a huge deal.

    I'm thinking about selling or trading my kimber compact cdp I and getting a sig scorpion carry. I like the 4" barrel but I want something I can attach a light to. Is the sig on the same lvl as the kimber or should I try a get a kimber pro tle/rl?

    Re: scope for 500 yards I've had two NXS 5.5-22 and I really liked them. Will probably buy another but right now I'm going to be using a ST10 at my 500m range.

    Re: High cap Savage mags? I'll be purchasing a Alpha mag or two so I will let you know if no one else does z71rat. I need a 5rd mag for hunting but need 10rd mag for everything else. I think they have a way for the bolt release to work on the accustock but you'd have to check with them.

    Re: High cap Savage mags? There CS is great too. After I talked to a lady and placed my order. Anthony(not sure on spelling) called to make sure it would fit the rifle I had. Fast shipping too. Placed my order and two days later I had my dbm.
