    9/10 terrorist caught crossing border

So they caught four "terrorists". Awesome. Now I dont feel so bad about having the Constitution horse fucked for the last decade or so.

New guy, AR shopping, looking for advice and wisdom

With a budget of $1500 I would go buy a Colt 6920 and an Aimpoint PRO red dot. That will give you a very solid base to start with. If you want to add a different rail or any of a thousand other possible additions later you can. Colt 6920 Colt LE6920MP-B Law Enforcement 30+1 223REM/5.56NATO...

    Range Finder: Bushy or Vortex

I bought the Vortex 1000 when Sportsmans Warehouse had a deal on them awhile back. I returned it a couple weeks later because it simply wouldnt give me consistent readings on steel out past 500. I don't know if I got a bad unit, I was screwing up or what. Even tried putting it on a Gitzo tripod...

Poll -- Help me pick a "free" AR

If I were you I would get the KAC for two reasons. 1. I really like Knights products. 2. I would probably never buy a .300 BLK KAC rifle for myself but the idea of getting to own one for free is too cool to pass up. RE: The 3gun thing. None of listed choices are ideal so get the coolest...

Rifle Camo, why? (Can of worms)

I live in the desert. In the summer time anything black sucks. I painted one beater AR for running classes or anytime I have to be out the summer sun for any length of time with a rifle. Will not paint any bolt guns. Mainly because its a pain in the dick if you ever want to sell or trade them.

Gunsmithing Smith and Wesson Customer service sucks.

Least the guy was honest with you. I would prefer that to what seems to be the now standard "Send it in we will fix you up." and then four months later you are trying to find out where your pistol is. I was pretty deep into Smith revolvers for awhile and considered sending some in for...

    IBA SUpergrade

I can say that just from reading this on their "About us" page I don't ever have to worry about dealing with them: "A call or email to Iron Brigade will probably result in personal conversation with one of the Chandlers. Their individualized service is a rarely encountered phenomenon in this...

    Getting banned from ARFcom

Good place as long as you "stay in your lane" and never have a thought different than the hive. Or sing the praises of something G&R doesnt sell. There is some good info there you just have to wade through a lot of shit to find it. The hero worship on that site is second to none and the drama...

Member Link Up Las Vegas, Nevada.

Boulder Rifle and Pistol Club has steel out to 960. Desert Sportsmans goes out to about 600. BLM land goes as far as you want. Vegas is awesome for shooting. USPSA matches every weekend, the Sin City guys are doing great things with the precision game in town and you can't swing a dead cat...

Stock or Chassis for someone with Gorilla Arms

6'6" and I have a Mcree with the LOP maxed out and a McMillan A5 with all the spacers in. Both work well for me. I have a Manners T3 in their shop getting the spacer system and 1" pad on it now for another rifle. The world isn't built for people our size.

    Movie Theater Hell On Wheels

I really like the show. Like most shows it has a story line or two in each season that just seems like filler but its one of the only series I make an effort to watch. Anson Mount does a great job. The cinematography is excellent as well.

    LMT .308 MWS

I really appreciate the offer. It's running around 1.5 MOA now so I'm just going to chalk it up to the barrel having to be good and fouled to run. I'm either just going keep it set up with a Vortex 1-6 as a battle rifle type set up or more likely end up moving it down the road for a bolt gun. I...

Thanks for the info I appreciate it. When I was running the those tests I had a Slash XH 10 oz. Rifle buffer in a PRS. Makes a big difference from the H3/Carbine stock but I agree on the over gassing. I was new to the gun when I did those and didnt know to back off on the speed. I have been...

    Varget at 3rd Generation

Thanks for the heads up. I had 10 pounds in my cart. Had to update with a new card for payment and by the time I did it was all gone. 32 pounds in about two minutes. I really hope one day we can all look back and laugh at this situation.

All I expect is that it shoots what it has in the past. That has been 1-1.5 MOA. I dont expect half MOA or anything ridiculous. I have a GAP bolt gun for that. I just got back from the range where I ran fifty rounds through it on steel out to 500. I didnt put up any paper as I only brought it to...

I get that. If I called and told them I had a .308 bolt sticking out of my neck because my trusty never fail load of 40 grains of 231 under a 300 grainer went wrong I could see starting off with "Not warrantied". Thats not what the problem is though. It is what it is. I'll either figure it out...

I want to say I spoke to Ryan but there is a good chance that's wrong. After I was told my warranty was void because I shot something other than factory ammo I was shocked/pissed enough that I probably didnt remember the name correctly. The guy I spoke to seemed knowledgable and was willing to...

I am the second owner of the rifle I bought it at a local store that had it on consignment. Previous owner was going to Cali so had to sell. Rifle looked unfired to me so I just ran a snake down the bore and started shooting. When I cleaned it I used Shooters Choice bore solvent and about ten...
