Range Report Load workup question... Signs of pressure or not? What next?

Not that my imput has the weight of a sledgehammer however, the brass in the Pictures above has been subjectet to massive over preassure and it just ready for the trash bin, I would guess that primers seat real easy and deep? //Chris

    Range Report Bullets blowing up

Your barrel and it´s twist is tearing the jackets to bits as soon as the barrel is slightly fouled and hot, the scenars are heavier in the jackets and will most likely take more abuse. I have no first hand experience of this however a good friend of mine has a .223 AI 8 twist that he runs hard...

Sako TRG 22, not all its cracked up to be?

About the OP btw, I noticed he added Swede- South Africa as location, we had a person entering a Swedish forum, with similar claims and thoughts about Sako TRG about 6 months ago, he to was called out and set straight. Thing is one of the members at that Forum works for Sako Sweden and they...

Sako TRG 22, not all its cracked up to be?

Shooter has managed to make his barrel become floppy, it is a common flaw/problem with age and (ab)use of the barrel. :) I agree with the statements above, I have a hard time understanding the problem and how it has come to be. /Chris

My D.I.Y Tactical Bolt Knob install with PICS!

Nice work, if you desires to move forward a bit more, try to blend the edges od the corners of the handle to the knob, that will make for a smother transition. However and just to make one thing clear, that job of yours is light years beyond what I can do, I can only look in awe. /Chris

    Rifle Scopes Reticle seems canted......

A lot of scopes has a slight cant to the reticle, that is within specs according to the manufacturer, Leupold used to have a -+2 degree spec on there lower level scopes, if one googles canted reticles in scopes I get about 7000+ hits and quite a few good ones to. If Vortex has returned your...

    Mushrooms, ya gettin any?

The spores are released from the underside of most shrooms, even morels, so that sort of action is not going to help, still we have had they same sort of misguided ideas back here, Always try to clean the shrooms at a spot were you like them to grow, completly useless advice. I really like...

Rifle Scopes Please help me choose a 500 yd scope

500 yards is a long scope, however it could be done. I the choice of the above mentioned I would go with the Bushnell due to the fact that I have never had one and that I am curious as to it´s performance. /Chris

Rifle Scopes Bought a S&B and Im not wow'd

Perhaps, but there is so much more to the price than just the scope it self, but i guess you know that , I own a PMII 5-25 that is good, still my old 4-16x50 SUB beats it by far in lowlight, and I also have a 4-16x56 Hennie that is the crispest scope I have yet to play with, if you are that...

    6 vs 6.5mm - looking for guidance

That all depends on the pressures that one allows the barrel/round to work under, hotrodding a 6,5x47L or Creedmoore and they to will eat up the barrel. /Chris

    6 vs 6.5mm - looking for guidance

Unsure of this has been mentioned in the thread but the 6,5 has very good bullets from 85 grains, the 105-ish ones that has great BC and all the way up to the 140 grain bullets, making the 6,5x47L a perfect candidate in a short action, I have and have shot both the 6XC and the 6,5x47, love them...

What scope are you running on you 22?

I use a 4-16x50 S&B Classic series, that is FFP with a nr 1 reticle and low hunting style target knobs, a very nice, clear scope that only has about 6 mils worth of travel but still is perhaps the best I have yet to use on a 22LR for hunting and killing things. /Chris
