Official (DTA) SRS, HTI, Covert, Hunter Thread

I I have one factory barrel, two SAC barrels, two ES Tactical barrels and one from TS Customs. They all shoot well, but I would have to say that the SAC barrels are my best. Noticeably more accurate, easier to load for and more consistent. Maybe it's because SAC uses Bartlein blanks. Or maybe...

Triggertech Diamond AR in a JP LRP07?

Never mind. I figured it out. Install was very easy once I got the trigger pins out. Nice trigger! Can't wait to try it out.

Triggertech Diamond AR in a JP LRP07?

I bought a Triggertech for my LRP07 and was about to do the switch. Quickly realized that the JP trigger assembly mounts differently than other ARs I have worked on. I searched online but can't find any instructions or videos on how to remove the JP unit. I have done trigger swaps before in...

    H4350 Availability? Supplying plant burned.

RL16 has worked well for me in my 6.5 Creedmoor. Just as accurate as H-4350, maybe even a bit more accurate. Only downside I've noticed is that RL16 seems heat up the barrel a little faster which makes me believe it's hotter burning powder. Hotter burn means faster throat erosion.

    How many injuries with reloads

The only incident I ever personally witnessed in 45 years of shooting was at a trap range. A guy who shot there regularly and was notorious for reloading shells that any rational person would cull out was almost knocked on his ass when his Browning citori over and under went off like a cannon...

GA Precision PPR vs. Bad Rock South Fork

Considering the game you plan to hunt, I would go for the 6.5 Creedmoor option. A 6mm is pretty light for most of the animals you mentioned.

Sidearms & Scatterguns Anyone else Carry Religously at Home?

I live in NJ. Virtually impossible to get a carry permit. If someone spotted a gun on me while doing yard work, there'd be a SWAT team pulling up in front of my house within 5 minutes (no joke). I've never carried in my home, but do keep a loaded 1911 in my bedroom. Fortunately, I live in a...

Which Load you guys used for JP 6.5CM?

That's some damn fine shooting! Especially with a gas gun.

Which Load you guys used for JP 6.5CM?

I shot this group (5 shots, 100 yds) with the following: Hornady 130 gr ELD-M, 40.5 gr VVN-550, Hornady brass, CCI primer. Velocity was 2745 fps. This was a very mild load. Quickload says 44.5 gr would be max at around 2900 fps. Been meaning to work up the charge to see how it does at higher...

I'm also using one with a Picatinny rail. No play on mine. I replaced the DT factory rail with a billet aluminum unit from Primal rights. It's a tad wider than the factory rail and fits snug to the bipod mount.

Factory .556 Bolt Action For 75 to 80gr. Bullets

If you can afford the DTA, that's the way to go. You'll get amazing accuracy, as much mag length as you could possibly need, no feeding issues and you can switch to any other caliber you may want down the road with ease.

    Desert Tech reliability?

Been shooting an A-1 since they first came out. I have six conversions for it and between them have put about 4000 rounds through it. No issues what so ever. Feeds and ejects just fine. Trigger has been 100% reliable. I've shot it in sub freezing weather dozens of times with no issues. The rifle...

Mine has shot well with 175s. It also does quite well with 168s and even 155s. It doesn't seem to be picky at all.

I would suggest the longer throat. It shoots the lighter bullets very well and still gives you the option to run the heavies. I've had outstanding accuracy from 55 and 60 grain bullets with mine.

This is really funny... and also not far from the truth. A DTA chambered in 300NM with a 16" barrel and muzzle brake will feel like a punch in the face every time you pull the trigger.

I went 7.7. Don't see much point in a 6.5 unless you plan to run 90s.

Maybe this will increase your anticipation a little more. Shot these groups just this past Sunday. One was with varget, the other vvn140.

You're correct. I meant to say 2.365. Sorry for the typo.
