I cannot speak to your specific rifle but I own a couple JP rifles, and from my experience, they prefer to be run a bit slower.

One of those rifle is in .260. It likes 41.5 of h4359 with a 139 Scenar. I’d advise you to start at 41.0 if you’re running h4350.

I shot this group at 1000 yards with the original prime 6.5 creedmoor with my 22 inch factory jp lrp07. It is a great hunting bullet also on elk, deer, antelope in my experience. It's all I shoot now in my JP rifles

I went with proof CF barrel but some people may want steel barrel because of the heavier weight, less muzzle jump! I don’t feel much muzzle jump on my JP maybe because of my muzzle brake. After I put anything in the rifle without ammos and weight about 12.25lbs!

I shot this group (5 shots, 100 yds) with the following:
Hornady 130 gr ELD-M, 40.5 gr VVN-550, Hornady brass, CCI primer. Velocity was 2745 fps. This was a very mild load. Quickload says 44.5 gr would be max at around 2900 fps. Been meaning to work up the charge to see how it does at higher velocity, but haven't gotten around to it yet. Sierra 123s and VVN-550 have also proven to be very accurate. This was with a 22" JP barrel.

Looking at the new JP LRI-20 in 6.5, would you guys suggest the JP barrel or the Proof Research carbon fiber upgrade?

If you're looking at going light weight hunting rifle get the Proof CF. If you want a competition / high volume shooter get a JP steel barrel with the thermal dissipator. Keeping the barrel cool is worth every penny and every ounce when you can stretch barrel lifetime.

Hit me up if you need help specing one out.

@ClubXtreme I've had really good success with a lot of loads and it's pretty easy to work something up for the 6.5's. For a 140 class reload I'd suggest the 140 ELDM but I have a few friends that really prefer the Berger 140's.

I'm running Factory Federal 130's now but my rifles shoot most of the precision factory loads well.
