So what is your favorite stock for your Vudoo?

I picked up an AICS 2.0 for the barreled action I have on order. I'd love to see a pic of you setup.

Tested: ER Shaw Ruger Precision Rimfire Barrel

Mine shoots Eley match at 1120 although it is listed at 1085.

    Ruger Precision Rimfire

I have the first ER Shaw RPRimfire sent out the door. I have been very impressed with it. It is very well made and I couldn't ask for better accuracy. I honestly think they could charge another $100 for them and it would still be a good deal. Mine likes Federal Match and Eley Match.

How accurate is your 22 rifle?

5 rounds fired at 100 yards prone off a bipod. Ruger Precision Rimfire with ER Shaw barrel and Griffen suppressor. Eley match ammo.

PART2 .22lr RPR with tin foil tape bedding,,, wow!

While what you did improved the accuracy, I don't agree that it was the right way to go about it. There are small protrusions molded into both sides of the receiver channel that mate into small pockets milled into the receiver sides. I believe the reason these rifles are having accuracy issues...

American RIfleman article Ruger Precision Rimfire

I stated this in another thread, but in case some of you haven't seen it- I had a very similar experience with mine. Terrible accuracy even after installing a match chambered barrel from Shaw. The problem I found is the bedding, particularly at the rear of the action. After fixing the bedding...

    Ruger Precision Rimfire

This was the last group I shot from my ER Shaw barrel. It's about 5/8" at 100 yards.

    Ruger Precision Rimfire

I don't think adding thickness to what you call the V block is going to improve accuracy. That "V block" is not solidly attached to the stock at all. It just sits in a molded slot. Adding extra thickness to it just insures that the rear is sitting on that wobbly cast block instead of being...

I used a FAT wrench. The bits that came with my other Wheeler wrench set were long enough to reach.

    Ruger Precision Rimfire

Being very sensitive to pressure and or torque seems to me to verify my suspicion that the bedding is the culprit. If my theory is correct, many of these rifles have the rear of the action only really resting on the front of the trigger housing and the little ears that should support the rear...

I would try a dab of bedding compound in the pockets on the sides of the receiver. There is one just in front of the bolt handle slot on the right side and one across from it on the left side. These are what locate the rear of the action, or should. If the corresponding ears on the inside of...

I didn't bed the block. I just bedded the contact points at the side of the receiver.

    ELR match in Montana

I hadn't heard that. It certainly makes sense though. It would be very interesting to compare an early model to one of the reengineered ones.

    ELR match in Montana

I found that the rear of the action was only really touching on the trigger housing so I put a dab of steel putty in the pockets milled in the sides of the receiver where the little ears molded into the inside of the receiver channel in the stock should support the rear of the action. I suspect...

    Ruger Precision Rimfire

That is very good for a ten round group in that much wind. I settled on Eley Match due to the very low SD and velocity of near 1120 from that barrel. Federal Match also seems to shoot fairly well too though.

    Ruger Precision Rimfire

I don't. It was a hail Mary done a couple nights before the match. I had some steel putty on hand so I mixed up a small amount and put a small dab in the pocket on each side of the receiver and put it together. I took it to the range the next night after work to try it out and check the zero...
