    Tikka T3 Thread

In what way? My Defiance is an awesome action/gun, but while the tolerances are much tighter, I don't know if it can be said to be smoother. I suspect that much like glass quality, everyone views action smoothness a little differently. I think that the tendency of an action to bind is part of...

Has anyone reviewed the new Tubb rifle?

I've been a fan of the T2K for many years. Haven't yet tried the new Adaptive Rifle. Tubb was absolutely on the leading edge of proving that AR ergos trump traditional bolt gun ergos, and I think very highly of the concept that these rifles are designed around. Not a hater at all. Having...

    Tikka T3 Thread

This target is in another thread on tripod shooting, but the bottom left group is a 5 shot group, including the cold bore, with my lite .223. Also, I had just reassembled the gun, and was shooting to check zero. Is the group as big as it is becasue its 5 shots, or did the lite barrel heat up...

Clark Co., WA Deputy Dumped For Proud Boys Gear

Did you read the part of my post where I said I was taking the truth of the article at face value FOR ARGUMENTS SAKE. If that article is true, then what you wrote is false. If what you wrote is true, then that would change the perception of the incident. I'm not arguing for or against this...

    Tikka T3 Thread

The Tikka really is stupid good. I'm not giving up my other guns, but I'm also not sure they do anything better then the T3 in any way at all.

Clark Co., WA Deputy Dumped For Proud Boys Gear

Well, I'm not a lawyer, but after reading the article in the OP, and taking it for fact at face value (just for arguments sake), I don't think any LEO who understands their role in society should be wearing stuff like that. Now maybe that's not a fireable offense, but some counseling would be...

Advanced Marksmanship Best technique for consistent .75 moa or less shooting from a tripod.

Went out and shot some groups at 100 today. Pics will follow. Up front, I like the p-cord cam method. That said, my results today were very inconclusive. I shot too few groups to be meaningful, and frankly, the results were kind of opposite of what you might expect. Nonetheless, I think it...

Sidearms & Scatterguns Magwells on Service Pistols

My issue weapon has a bit of a flare, but I am not a fan of adding a mag well to the gun. Some work reasonably well, but most make it harder to pull a stuck mag out. Most make it harder to conceal (for those of us who either have to or want to). Magwell's don't make your reload faster, though...

Rifle Scopes GAP Deal on Bushnell LRHS Scopes

So, I had an early HDMR, and was not impressed. Stayed away from Bushnell since then. Got one of these GAP scopes a few months ago, and have been very impressed. I don't really prefer this reticle, but it is perfectly usable for most stuff. Turrets work as they should and I have no...

    Badger Ordnance M2013

I shot and handled a couple of 08 and 13 actions in custom guns yesterday. I happened to also be shooting my AI at the time. None of them seemed heavy to me, I shot them all off of barricades and GC's and stuff. I'd be happy to use any of them. I guess my bolt lift meter isn't properly...

    AI AXMC Negatives???

Probably not relevant to the OP, but since the last few posts have been down on the AX... and for the record, I think very highly of all the AI's, from the MKIII AE and up. I greatly prefer the ergos of the AT/AW rather than the AX. Specifically the thumbhole versions. I have a dedicated...

    EuroOptic Messing With Me

Hey now, lets not go too far here. :) If a Tikka in a $400 chassis shoots as well as it does, then we have to have high end scopes to feel good about. Otherwise, what's the point?

Advanced Marksmanship Best technique for consistent .75 moa or less shooting from a tripod.

Preliminary results. Very preliminary. Shooting on steel today, on a KYL rack at 544, the cord setup seemed to settle the reticle a bit better than going without it. Not enough time on it to say that it absolutely made hitting easier, or that I could hit smaller targets with it, but it...

    Tikka T3 Thread

@BallisticPrimate , I got to try out a 6mmC today in the T5A. Very nice stock, even if the 6mm didn't let me really test how it feels in recoil:-) Time to spec one out for my Tikka's so I too can post awesome looking rifles. ;-) BTW, I know all you comp guys know this, but I'm not a PRS guy...

    SARACEN bag from WARHORSE DEVELOPMENT

I just got a saracen and a second commanche. That Saracen is truly awesome, and the commanche is my do everything bag, so I got a second one to leave with my work gear. I hate having to swap stuff around and possibly forget something when I need it. I was shooting off of a barricade this...

Bipod, bipods, and more bipods. Mini review

I have an RPS bipod that is a version of the TRG. It is my favorite bipod to shoot off of. Fast to deploy, smooth action, has a pod loc type lever to remove most of the cant. Pricy, but seems to be as good as the TRG, without the downsides. Unless you count the spigot mount as a downside...

Advanced Marksmanship Best technique for consistent .75 moa or less shooting from a tripod.

Got my camloc set up in the house tonight, will try it out tomorrow. Not on paper at 100 for group, as I won't be shooting at home, but at least I'll have some distance. I'll test it on paper in a day or two. Seems pretty easy to use, and fairly quick to set up.

    In ear electronic hearing protection.

I have the peltors. They work well for what they are, but I relegate them to hunting. I don't consider in ear protection sufficient for any shooting, unless you have a good can. Often I just use the Surefire passive plugs for hunting instead, though, as they work better under my comtacs, and...
