    That looks great. I was actually looking for a brown like that for my new build I just finished. I need to get some pics up here but its a .300 win mag 5R in an AX chassis. Is that a Dark Metal Designs HK style break? What do you think about the recoil reduction with it?

    What folder mechanism for XLR Evo is this?

    I just bought one from them and was told they make their own in house now. Their site isn't updated yet. That's what mine looks like.

    It is, but the grip is attached to the mag well/trigger guard. There is another hex head screw that attaches the mag well and trigger guard to the frame itself. That is what I broke.

    I understand that. Remington was AWARDED the contract meaning they have it. His actual question was if they had narrowed it down. It is a done deal in terms of DOD acquisitions.

    precisionarms.com has some Federal Gold Match in stock. Not sure if they ship but if you want match grade give them a call and talk to John. He was a great guy to deal with.

    Is that the standard barrel diameter of the 5R .300 win mag? I have one waiting on me at home that I haven't seen yet, but I didn't know the barrels were that thick.
