    Yep, I started with a Simrad myself (253). I've been to 815 with my 30 and Luna combo. Just haven't had the opportunity to get to 1k in the dark yet.

    I've put a tiny spot of reflector tape on steel before. Flares really well in the IR. Distance and amount of rounds may determine how long it stays there. Lol
