    I believe any vibration discussion is invalid since we´re not talking empty & resonating tubes (the stock is filled). There should be no perceivable difference from a high quality synthetic stock; due to CF properties, the manufacturer can either produce a much stronger stock in the same weight...

    19" is not THAT short... heavy bullet, rather fast twist and faster powder than your average .308. It won´t be trouble for a reloader (did 1000 with a 16" alright), but will probably scratch your head with standard factory loads.

    Range Report Question about temperature affecting ballistics ....

    Ambient temperature influences both the external ballistics and the muzzle velocity of your round. I´d first get the input data straight and together - guesswork won´t let you see where it´s the equipment and where it´s just plain old you.

    I believe you can use any screw that would fit, should be std size. Important bit is to use the T-nut, otherwise you´re going to rip the rail out of the stock sooner or later.

    If you don´t need (want) to do so fancy, a round steel plate hangs pretty well from a simple tri-stick, too. Just have three sticks chained together in the midle, and close them together for easy transportation.
