Carbon fiber is an awesome material for bicycles. A cottage industry has even started for Carbon fiber repair.
VTB: looks like you have an instant hit on your hands.
I have been wanting a lightweight tactical-type-cool stock that I can take hunting. I love the aesthetic and I love the comfort. And at a little over 2 pounds (900 grams) this would fill the bill nicely.
I would love to be a pioneer in the states with your stock.

We had to change A13 mold a bit - since initialy we've made it only for Rem varmint contour - now it'll have plain cylinder barrel channel 1,35" dia.
at the same time we're launching next mold with vertical grip and adjustable cheekpiece.
Ain't that the truth. I cannot think of a better application. Keep those pics coming!

We're working on becoming approved vendor on the hide to speak about pricing and all sales things freely.
once it's done - i'll answer all sales related questions.
Meanwhile - as we design new stock we need your input.
It'll be the stock with foreend similar to A1-3, but with vertical grip similar to A5 and adjustable cheekpiece. Cheekpiece is moved backwards to allow remove bolt for cleaning without touching the cheekpiece.
We're targeting weight of this stock as 1000 gramms (no dbm, no mechanism for adjusting cheekpiece and LOP)
But there are questions:
Cheekpiece.
We can make adjustable mechanism like "push button" or "simple hex screw" or "wheel". Or we can make it adjustable via spacers. i.e. you just put spacers between cheekpiece and stock with required height (provided with the stock) and tight the screws (vertical) for good.
Spacers are the lightest way - it'll add only the weight of 2 vertical screws to the weigth of the system
Wheel or push button will add arounf 100 grams to the weight of the system
LOP
Adjustable LOP - do you need it? If yes - will it be enough to use just spacers as regluators for LOP? What LOP take as a base? 13,5"?

Here is my take on your excellent stocks. The carbon fiber is very good looking and something I would like to show either as a range rifle or as a hunting rifle. My "tactical" type rifles have been painted camo which I am NOT willing to do to such a good looking carbon fiber stock as yours.
Thus, I really don't need a fancy adjustable cheek piece or length of pull adjustment system. Keep those simple and as inexpensive as possible. I think you will sell more stocks this way. But that is just my opinion.

vtb: re: adjustable Cheekpiece and LOP. Personally, I like both. I have a family and I often let guests shoot. it is nice to be able to accommodate everyone. I've never seen an adjustable cheekpiece with spacer but it sounds awesome and save weight. LOP I would like 12.5 to 13.5 with spacers as well. That's my 2cents.
I just read ranger1183's post and I agree with that as well. my opinion on LOP for a bolt gun comes completely from my sniper instructor platoon sergeant back in the 1980s. That is LOP should be no longer than allows you to comfortably operate the bolt from the shoulder for a quick follow up shot while reasonably maintaining you shooting position. Also years of shooting M4s have accustomed me to a shorter than convention LOP. I like 12.75 to 13 inches depending on what clothes I am wearing. That my 4 cents.
this is a very interesting concept to me. my question to anybody here is will the harmonics of these stocks be similar to that of a b&c or a mcmillin or manners of the same style. in other words will the darn thing allow the rifle to shoot straight? on a side note, those are beautiful stocks, i like the look and would prob buy one if the harmonics were sound...(pun)

So in bicycles CF dampens high frequency vibrations and is very, very stiff and leads to high efficiency of transfer of energy from your legs to forward motion. So if very stiff stock is desired CF seems like it would be an excellent material. Night Eagle, can you explain how the harmonics of a stock affect accuracy/precision. If it vibrates the same way every time would you even notice?
marine, thats a great question...so i have read and studied about how harmonics affect the accuracy of a rifle, but im not smart enough to be able to explain it...lol. i do think it matters if it is vibrating the same way every time, but it only matters for accuracy if it is vibrating correctly. otherwise it could be hummin dixie, but it wont shoot straight. im not saying it wont shoot straight, im asking if anybody has actually used carbon fibor for this kind of use before and if so how does it work...???

actually it works. i know - i'm maker of these stocks but nevertheless.

Garmonics of the stock depends on the fill more than on the core.
We use special foam in the foreend and back-end. and we use uretane fill in the action area.
Idea is to dump parasite vibrations not to allow them to travel back-and-forth inside the stock
When i've got first stock from the oven and inletting i was so exited so i just putted my Rem inside the stock, hand tighted the screws (no Borka at hand at the moment) and made 5 shots without rear bag and using harris bipod on 100 meters. ammo is russian steelcased loaded with hornady 150gr bullet. Scope is Leupold CQBSS with H27D set on 8x
Left is first shot on blank piece of paper. Others are next 4 shots while using 1st shot as POA

I believe any vibration discussion is invalid since we´re not talking empty & resonating tubes (the stock is filled). There should be no perceivable difference from a high quality synthetic stock; due to CF properties, the manufacturer can either produce a much stronger stock in the same weight category as if it were "ordinary composite", or the same strength in lighter package as vtb does here.
Here's my contribution,
I'd like to see an inexpensive adjustable cheek piece with spacers and vertical bolts. I've been planning on trying this out on one of my own rifles, just haven't had the time. My plan is to run the bolts from the bottom though, so the holes won't interfere with cheek weld. Since you'd be molding the female threaded portion you'd have the opportunity to use a T shaped nut that wouldn't pull out of the cheek piece if it was over tightened.

A bit unusial project: Customer asked as if we'll be able to fit Blaser R93 chassis inside our stock.
Though we've warned him that Blaser do have wider rear action area than Rem700 action (which was originally a target for our stock) he wished to try, because original Resin blaser Professional stock is ...well - could be better:
So we cooked the stock, and inletted and bedded blaser chassis into it (you can see numbers of chassis mirrored on the bedding)
Stocks weight is 890 gramms (orginal Proffesional Blaser resin stock weight is 1100 grams),
chassis weight is 330 gramms.
overal weight is 1220 gramms (with chassis which actually is a reciever part in blaser),
weight savings is 210 gramms.
New stiff comfortable stock - priceless

Ok next question. I have a 16 Inch lop. How are you addressing issues such as that? Would it be feasible to offer it with a tubb 4 way plate pre-fitted and an adjustable comb? Also can you offer . An m-24 babarrel channel?

base cooked LOP is 14".
we can address 16" LOP via Pachmayr 1" pad + lightweight spacer.
we can embend a TUBB 4-way (but i've handled tubb and i think MASTER CLASS Stocks and Shooting Accessories, Inc. are better) - but it will kill the idea of lightweight stock. i mean what's the reason to pay for carbon fiber lightweight stock targeted to have stiffness of 1,7kg stock inside 900gramms package and add a 400 gramms with massive buttplate?

We've made a mold with plain cylinder barrel channel with dia 1,35" - it will accomodate any barrel which does not exceed action in diameter.

But since it's from the period when we tested fill compound it's heavier than end-result (the fill itself just heavier)
Stock weights 970 grams. If someone wants to be a tester on terms, described above - my pm is open.
About different actions:
Since we make action area together with the stock - there are two variants:
1. we have action at hand and order mold to this exact action.
2. we make blank for Rem700 (1,35" in dia action area) and your local gunsmith will mill inlet to fit your action.
And since we do not have many custom actions in Russia i think 2nd variant is the way to go.
