What caliber for a LA 700?

L/A for hunting, there are a ton of choices, but my vote would be for 6.5x284. You can easily get reamer, dies, brass, etc. I would say that this is probably one of the more forgiving and easy L/A cartridges to load for. A ton of information out there for it and a ton of great hunting bullets with...

    Manners compact Arctic Camo

i Just got this one done in 6.5x47 Lapua. I love the compact stock in arctic Camo. It’s hard to swallow $1000 for a stock sometimes when you can’t even see or feel it. I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. Just wanted to give a THANK YOU to @tmanners for the awesome stock and keeping me...

Gunsmithing Making a 6BRA With a Dasher Reamer?

Why would you cut a go gauge? Just headspace the barrel off of a factory piece of BR brass. I used a BR go gauge and a Dasher go gauge both to measure what I was cutting. This was not on a pre fit.

Gunsmithing Making a 6BRA With a Dasher Reamer?

Yep, and before Alex ordered a dedicated 6BRA reamer, he was clambering them record winning guns with 2 reamers, that’s how he told me to chamber mine and to cut .080” off Dasher die. I’ve had ZERO problems out of mine with this method. Good running the rabbit trail with you.

Gunsmithing Making a 6BRA With a Dasher Reamer?

I’m easily over 10 firings on my 6BRA brass, I have no issues. I use Widden dies with mine. My BRA is not oversized at base like yours, I chamber my own barrels though. I think that little cartridge is great. Sheldon N If you have problems and know what they are, why not try to fix them? I...

Gunsmithing Making a 6BRA With a Dasher Reamer?

Actually it works perfectly fine, because your cutting .080” off bottom of die. Or just order a die for 6BRA. Never had a problem.

Gunsmithing Making a 6BRA With a Dasher Reamer?

You can not do it with just Dasher reamer, Dasher doesn’t have a long enough neck, that’s why you need the BR reamer. Or you could just get a 6BRA reamer. The 6XC or 6 Creedmoor will give better muzzle velocity, but just to ease your mind, I’m running accuracy node with 30.6gr. H4895 and 107SMK...

Gunsmithing Making a 6BRA With a Dasher Reamer?

I chambered mine with a 6BR reamer and a 6Dasher reamer. 6BR reamer goes in to about .004” short of my go gauge (headspace on my lot of brass) then followed that with a 6 Dasher reamer .084” short. The Dasher reamer was a tight neck, so it didn’t touch the neck that the 6BR reamer cut. Cutting...

    F T/R Competition March 10-60X52

I have the March 10-60 HM, also have the NF 15-55 Comp. Both are awesome. On white paper, shooting ladders, I can see 6mm bullet holes with March. With NF I can see a couple, but can’t count them (this is @ 520yds). I like the zero stop on NF way better, the March zero stop is a poor design for...

    Another Missourian

Been searching through the forum, especially the rimfire section and have to say, I like this place already. I guess my new Anschutz 22 has got me exited about shooting all over again. Can't wait to get back home to stretch her legs out on paper at some big distances. I guess everyone likes...

    Anschutz 64 MP R optics?

I have swiped the optics rig off my 50bmg to play with my new Annie until my new scope came in. She is wearing a 8-32x56 NXS nightforce with 150 MOA adjustable rings. That gives me enough elevation to shoot match ammo at 1085 FPS out to about 650 yds without adjusting any elevation in the scope...
