    After starting this post and staring at my upper some more, that's exactly what I did. I only had to take about 1/8" off and you can't even tell. Now the rail finally slipped right into place. I love my left handed bolt guns, but from here on out I will just stick to regular RH ARs.

    I'm not sure how water resistant the seal would be after doing the install yourself. My overhaul also consisted of a new turn bezel as the old one was faded and worn pretty good. So that cost wasn't just to have a new battery installed.
