22 Creedmoor light bullet twist
If the goal is 55's as fast as possible I would stay away from a 1:8 twist. No reason to risk blowing up light weight varmint bullets when even a 1:12 will stabilize them fine. 1:9 would be an excellent choice and at Creedmoor speeds will even stabilize a 75 ELD-M.- Mordamer

Gunsmithing Anyone ever seen this before (Savage)
Seen it a bunch. It's either blasting media done before the finishing of the barreled action by Savage or it's intentionally put on the threads for some reason. Since Savage is the high point of the bolt action world I would tend to think it is blasting media and they just don't care that it...- Mordamer

Suppressors Newbie suppressor owner - Condensation causing pressure?
I've had the same experience multiple times with different suppressors and different cartridges and rifles. If I shoot fast like on a timed PRS stage everything is normal. If I shoot a shot or two and wait a minute super heavy bolt lift all of a sudden. If I shoot and wait 10 minutes no heavy...- Mordamer

It would work perfect with just a tiny amount of material removed at the rear of the bolt notch. I've done it several times and it's easy to make it look good. It's a spot no one sees so you hit it with the Dremel until it clears and put some black touch up paint on it.- Mordamer
