    If that’s the case I’d say keep an eye out for a used NXS 3-15 in the optics section. Price to quality I’d be a great way to dip your toe in.

    I think it’s all relative to what you are putting it on. The SHV is their entry level and would IMO beat out some glass but beat by others. In contrast the NXS is a step above in features, glass, etc.

    I guess you have to factor the $60 transfer cable into the cost of upgrading to the elite unless you are fortunate enough to have a friend in the vicinity with one.

    Used, Used Used. With a little patience you can find literally an entire turn key competition rig for sale in the px with less wear and tear than you think. Lots of people here with gun ADHD which means lightly used quality gear at a discount for the rest of us.

    What are the most reliable, trust-with-your-life firearms out there?

    I’d be my Gen 3 Glock 17 and my 16” SR15. If I have my long range shit out I think I’d have to re-evaluate how real the immediate threat to my life is as I’m holding for a 500 yard shot.

    Sorry to hear, glad your pets are fine. You mind me asking how your boom sticks faired? Sounds like if you store them in the basement they were away from the flames but might still have water to contend with. Fire is right up there with theft for me in what I fear about regarding my firearms.
