I have never ever been so in awe of what I just left in a toilet that I forgot I walked in with a gun, and need to leave with a gun.

Its common ,Officer was in where my Father worked for a Company Function that corporate was holding. They go in the bathroom and find a gun on the back of the toilet and they wrap it up and brought it to the office. They call the Officer back and he was like pissed at them so I guess he was quite embarrassed over it.
Can we please stop pretending that just because they are cops they are the sharpest tools in the shed? I have actually found that most of them are quite the opposite.

Seriously though, laziness like this cop's situation does not make guns any more favorable to the public.
I wonder how many get the "finders keepers" and nothing is ever said about it. Officer dumbass replaces his weapon and keeps his mouth shut. Then prays it never shows up at a crime scene.
I think it's funny that they noted that no one was harmed in the incident. Like the gun didn't go on a shooting spree or something
Similar situation happened in a local store......but...... The officer was having an extramarital affair with a female employee of this particular store and left his gun after “going to the bathroom” - yes, she was one of those classy gals, lol.
Store opens and a customer finds gun, turns it in to Police chief. Officer involved was not fired, still married. Trashy employee either quit or possibly fired?
Local Small town “news” paper did a good job of covering it up as an “honest mistake”.....
