    Gunsmithing 223 trainer

I hate the name trainer, I rather use the name groundhog slayer. I have two 223 bolt rifles that are built on Remington 700 actions and are deadly. I have shot the 77 grain Sierra's out to 900 yards numerous times. Within 600 yards they are almost boring unless wind is really blowing...

Rifle Scopes Scope decision for my Desert Tech SRS-A1

Hate to be presumptuous, but, for the amount of money you paid for that rifle, it is time to spring for more scope than a PST or XTRII. Once you get into the 2.5 - 3k optic range you have all kinds of choices - Vortex Gen II 4.5 x 27, a lot of Schmidt and Bender's have come down into the 2.5k...

Maybe Mao Zedong got something right......

People actually pay their hard earned money to send their spawn to the indoctrination fields of the university. That system is rotted from the professor to the administrators and they are just one huge claptrap. One person says something stupid like above and they all just shake their head in...

6.5 creedmoor OCW test with RL16

I am curious as to why RL16 vice RL17? I run RL17 at 42.3 grains in a 24" Bartlein barrel with 140ELD-M and get pretty close to your exact same FPS numbers. I think mine is 2730 for 42.3 grains. Is there a reason you are using Rl16 - am I missing something?

PRS Talk Scopes in Mil/Mil or MOA/MOA or does it matter?

I ran MOA, IPHY scopes for years and changed over to all MIL...the reason why is that most people use Mils so was easier to have your spotter and shooter on the same language. And, it was easier for me to remember those little numbers vice the big ones - like 8.2 Mils @1000 yards with the 6.5mm...

    6.5 Creedmoor for a mile?

I think it has to do with what your density altitude is. I have successfully hit 1350 yards with hits (50% of the time) and attempted 1450 (still 0% at that one). My DA for shooting is between 1500-2100ft and the 142 Sierra goes transonic around 1500 so I am right on the edge. At my DA I don't...

Most Accurate 6.5 Creedmoor out of the box?

I have to say that I have been very impressed with the Ruger Precision. I shoot with a guy that has a 6.5mm Creedmoor and my son has the 308 version. Both shoot well around .75 - .50 MOA @100. I have seen the 6.5mm Creedmoor shoot 1200 yards many times. For the money invested it is hard to go...

I Gotta Stay Off the Kid's Facebook Before I Have a Stroke

Honestly you have a smart indoctrinated millennial kid who hasn't had to grow up with a hard-knock life yet. He needs some good old fashioned life-lessons that will shake his liberal "white privileged life." The article reads like he swallowed hook, line, and sinker what the university...

    Tax Reform Pays Immediate Dividends!

I don't think anyone (including the brainiacs in Treasury) has a full 100% understanding of how much money is really outstanding from the debt to unfunded liabilities. The economy is extremely fragile and just lives on trust - trust that we can still pay our debts. Not sure what will happen in...

    Tax Reform Pays Immediate Dividends!

Nobody ever seems to talk about the overall debt anymore as if it doesn't matter. As of now we have 20.3 trillion dollars in debt which results in a payment of interest of 500 billion annually. To gain a perspective that is close to the same as the Pentagon's budget of just over 500 billion in...

    JSTARSZ is GTG

Thanks Gents - it really means a lot to have people trust you with thousands of dollars worth of either money or material. sirspeedy was a great guy to deal with. The $64,000 Question, So to Speak: Where's Antifa Been Lately?

What it shows to me more than anything else is how controlled the organization truly is. The leaders turn the volume of chaos up and down as the politicos want. The next large event will be the mid-term elections. You have to understand that this too has a money angle and the benefactors have to...
