    The issue isn't whether or not they'll work. They will work. Reliable feeding can be compromised when upward pressure is exerted on an AI mag on an action cut for AW. Also, if you tune your bottom metal for AW mags, AI mags will likely sit too high to cycle the bolt without modification.

    Is this a SRP issue or have there been issues with LRP also? I only have 100 trouble free rounds through mine so far..all LRP 19# spring. I seat all primers with an rcbs bench priming tool, to the bottom of the pocket.

    For reference.. 26" 6xcII Rock Creek button 115 naked DTAC. 39.0 H4350 Norma brass..virgin Avg. 2937 fps after 100 rounds. Initially it was 2901.

    Add powder to get back in the node. Your fire-formed brass has more volume now that the case has been blown out. My load is 44.9g Varget in Lapua brass with 175 smk. Chrono your virgin brass and load the fire-formed to that velocity to get back in the node. Fgmm 175 load is 41.75g IMR 4064...

    Yes, using calipers. My chamber is a 6xcII. Measured .200 up from the extractor groove it is .471 on fired cases. I'll check the resized pieces when I get home tonight. Pretty sure they came out of the die .468 although, that was taken right next to to groove.

    At this point I may just buy a neck sizer and run it until the bolt becomes hard to close. Redding won't even sell one. They said, unfortunately you have to go through Whitley. 6xcII would become more popular if components were more readily available. I just wish I had known it would be a II...

    Others with 6xcII say they use the Whidden die without issue. I'd run a few pieces through it and see what it sizes the case web to. I'm sure it will be fine with virgin brass. My Tubb die didn't touch the body on unfired Norma brass. But sized the web area too much on fired brass. It took it...
