I dont think 243AI is going to fit in the SA mag very well, if at all. The 40 degree shoulder will prevent the rounds from going in the mag. You would need to remove the spacer in the SA mag for it to work. I can help with that if your interested. Safe bet would be to go with a 243 improved 30...

DT changed the SRS to 80inlbs around a year ago. Just to keep things simple and only needed to inventory 1 torque wrench for HTI & SRS. 70inlbs will still work fine for the SRS.

    3b in an MTU stock?

Your going to have a big gap with a 3b in a MTU channel. I would say at least .150" a side. A bit smaller with a RV. One thing that helps hide or make not as noticeable of a gap is having an EFR installed

The follower/spacer can not really go shorter than the factory size follower because you start getting into the mag spring area. Maybe .100" shorter at the most, Ill take a look in the morning. The followers are the same hight as factory, aprox .600". Not much room for anti tilt legs on...

thoughts on the 6.5x284 for f class

you could use about anything for those ranges. I wouldnt think you would need 6.5-284. I want to say 6BR dominates those ranges for bench type matches

The problem with WSM/SAUM in the LA mag is, The case can come out of the feed lips of the mag before the bullet nose is into the chamber, causing jams. The SA mags need heavy mods to the feed lips. Some guys get them to work, YMMV.

Going to be selling a follower and spacer for the 5 round SA mags. Made out of Delrin and you use your factory SA spring. I or you can custom fit them to about any length cartridge. (30-06 in the pic) I can make a full length follower for the mag. It would probably perform best with a LA mag...
