    Which action for 223ai?

I would take a look at the Kelbly Atlas Tactical. I just saw them for under $900. I have a .223 build on one and it's a hammer. I'm a fan of the mechanical ejector as well. They are just under 30oz as well so are a good weight for a hunting rig. Good luck!

    6.5 Addiction (Swedemoor)

This is the result of a 147 ELDm on a 250yd Whitetail buck. Leaving the muzzle at 2950. It hit him like a sledgehammer!

    6.5 Addiction (Swedemoor)

Widden is the way to go. The guys at Accuracy Addiction may have some so you could check with them. The beautiful thing about Tikkas is that they have the larger bolt face so they work with the European brass (Lapua:)

    6.5 Addiction (Swedemoor)

Good luck with the project, should be a great combo! I found that the 150’s shot best at slightly over mag length. Although they shot decent mag loaded. I’d plan to run a 7.5 twist as well. 1:8 did fine at higher elevation in MT but it did seem to loosen up at slower velocity...not sure if it...

    6.5 Addiction (Swedemoor)

I tried them, worked ok but not great. Could only load 7-8 rounds and have it feed well. But they do seem to be rifle dependent.

    6.5 Addiction (Swedemoor)

Really depends on the bullet. An RDF with a .050 jump easily fits in an AICS mag. I can jam a 140 Eld and still fit the magazine.

    6.5 Addiction (Swedemoor)

If your smith is competent, just give him a few pieces of 6.5x55 Lapua brass, a slight crush and call it a day. Pacific Tool has gauges but be sure to check them because the last set I got were too long.

    6.5 Addiction (Swedemoor)

If you aren't shooting past 400 it's probably not worth it, other than that I'd say go for it! I'm curious if someone did a straight Ackley chamber with a short freebore if the performance would be similar to the addiction. AI dies would be a lot easier to source!

Converting a TRG to 6.5 Addiction - Tikka Swap?

Yep, Tikkas and Sakos work with the Lapua Swede brass!

    6.5 Addiction (Swedemoor)

For a switchbarrel, especially a Tikka, the Addiction is the way to go. PRC seems to be a good alternative if you want a factory offering. Very affordable Lapua brass is the best attribute of the 6.5A. I have up to 7 firings on some cases. If you want to shoot the 147-155 class of bullets in a...
