Rifle Scopes PST GEN II now? or....Wait on the Athlon ARES ETR to hit the market??

I would think if you need one now go Vortex, if you're really set on the Athlon, wait for it, the reason is like what Frank said in the podcast a while back; initial runs are QC heavy -- like each one gets checked, then in subsequent runs they'll do batch testing (same as we do in the shop...

    Scenar vs Matchking

I am just starting off in LR, and got a Savage 10 FCP-SR in 6.5 CM with the 24" bbl, after searching the threads I haven't found the answer so I'll go ahead and ask the newbie question: 123 Scenar vs 123 Matchking, what's the difference? What I mean by that is I was listening to the podcast and...

Thanks to Mike and Frank (Everyday sniper podcast)

I just found the podcast, after crawling out from the rock I was under, and wow, thank you for so much great info and insight. I have started over with the podcast and this time taking notes. Thank you again, I'm really looking forward to when I'm ready to take a class.

    LC LR PULL DOWN BRASS

Yeah, acetone is about the only thing that will touch that military bullet sealant. I chucked up a bore brush I'd dipped in acetone and scrubbed it out that way, then came back with the cotton swabs to get any residue.

    Movie Theater Recommend books

    Can’t decide on new press

I've stuck with my Co-Ax since I don't yet load the volume to necessitate a progressive. However as my time becomes more limited I may find myself investing in a 550 to process brass (thanks for the idea) and finish handloading on my Forster... my dad gave it to me years ago, I just can't part...

PRS Talk My Solution to Prize Table Bias

Not to be the nerd, but using the discount codes would lower the vulnerablilty to those that have won something off the table, only to sell it. If I may relate an anecdote from USPSA: A shooter was into the raffle for $x (for easy numbers let's use $100) and won a modded pistol, bunch of mags...

How come Trump doesn't get Attorney/Client protections?

Is it wrong to admit I was kinda hoping the Chinese space station would burn in on DC? Now, I know the folks that should be there for impact would have been rushed off to safety leaving those that weren't to get smacked... but in a perfect world.

    Workout selfies anyone?

I saw one of these clowns today, come into the weight room, not touch one weight, take a picture of themselves in the mirror, and then left, not to do cardio or whatever, flat left the building.

    Pet Peeves at the Gym

I hear ya, I've even gone so far as to use the "obscure" equipment in order to get through a workout rather hassle free. What drives me nuts are these pinheads that congregate in front of the mirror to take selfies instead of using it to watch or work on their form thereby denying access for...

As a LR newb with four kids in school I am always looking out for "more bang for your buck" options. Thanks for the heads up.

    Nebraska newbie

Hi there! I recently crossed off a bucket list item, and went to a long range precision rifle class and got hits on at 1k yards by the end of the first day; needless to say, I'm hooked. My goal now is to develop a target load and finish Johnny Cashing my Franken-Savage 10 FCP-SR 6.5 Creedmoor...
