Zero press versus Redding T-7 turret.

Yeah, and in that case I would need 8 more turrets. The whole idea is to leave the dies installed.

Zero press versus Redding T-7 turret.

That's the beauty of the Co-Ax. The dies are always set up and switch out in seconds. I would love to have a Zero press but not for that price. And to add to the cost of that press, their turrets add $225 for every 8 dies you have. I have 70+ dies so that would cost me an additional $1800...

    Ultrasonic Cleaner

Never tried the UC for removing lube but I assume it would work. But it might take away the shine (God forbid). After sizing I just put the cases in a vibrator tumbler with corn cob media for 20-30 mins. Takes off all the lube...inside and out, and it comes out with a nice shine. Remember, the...

    Ultrasonic Cleaner

That will work for 100-200 cases, I think. Get some plastic trays with holes in them (dollar tree store has them cheap). Ultrasonic cleaners work best when there is space between the cases and don't let anything touch the bottom of the tub.

    Ultrasonic Cleaner

45 mins in ultra sonic cleaner with Lemishine and Armor All Wash & Wax. Dry and put in vibrator cleaner with walnut media and NuFinish. And don't forget to put in a cut up used dryer sheet. You'll be surprised how much media dust the sheets collect. Putting brass in an ultra sonic cleaner...

    Expander Mandrel

I use the gauge pin that should give me the desired ID. I then try other pins to measure the actual ID (considering spring back). I document what pin I used for sizing and what pin gave me the actual "post sizing" dimension. Shooting will tell me what pin to use for sizing. The key is to keep...

    Hornadys Concentricity Tool???

Correct what is causing the runout problems. Maybe try an inline seating setup. I just don't like the idea of moving the bullet in the case after seating.

    Fire Forming Wads

The chamber in the "dedicated" barrel will probably be different than the barrel you want to use for actual shooting. If you don't "hot rod" the fire-forming loads I think you'll be fine using the barrel you want to use for actual shooting. .223s are pretty easy on barrels.

    Fire Forming Wads

When I used a fire-forming load for my 22-250 AI the groups were 5/16". That is plenty good enough for actual varmint shooting, IMO. Give it a try with bullets and see what the accuracy looks like.

What's Your Favorite Handloading / Wildcatting Book?

6mmbr.com has a number of wildcats but you're probably going to have to look them up one-by-one on the internet.

Do the pros use stainless steel pin/wet tumble or Dry Tumble?

It does. With brass, bling is everything.

Do the pros use stainless steel pin/wet tumble or Dry Tumble?

Dry tumbling vs. wet tumbling. The biggest argument since Lee products vs everything else.

    Can 6.5 Creedmoor brass be...

Another question about the 6 Creedmoor. This gun (bolt gun with heavy barrel) would be used for varmint shooting. How would this caliber compare with the 6BR? Also, how is barrel life with the 6 CM? Thanks.

Best tumble media/method for removing lube

When weather permits I put the tumbler outside and leave the top off. This way if there is even the slightest breeze the dust is pulled out of the tumbler and into the neighbors yard.

Best tumble media/method for removing lube

After resizing the brass I tumble it in walnut media for approx 30 mins. I do put 2 capfuls of NuFinish (just for the dust reducing benefit, not the shine) in the media just to cut down on any dust. Also put in a used dryer sheet. This keeps the dust down for me. Tumble the brass in a towel and...

    Frankfort Arsenal vs Forster

The FA will quickly become more expensive than the Forster because you have to buy those die blocks for every die. The Forster is, by far, the better press and better buy.

    What's the best book ...?

Can't saying it shouldn't be done but the average new pilot does better learning on something simple. Keeps the frustration level down. I started flying on the OH-58 then went to fixed wing.

Cam over or free float? Redding Type S full length sizing die

When sizing .002" would this be enough to warrant cam over? When I adjust my dies I do just enough to get the .002" bump. Never have to cam over.
