    older remington's did have a bolt lock feature when the safety was engaged there was a leg on the safety lever that would come up and lock the bolt if you look at older remington bolts you will see a notch for the leg to lock the bolt. I have two remington 40x's that have that feature. Montrose

    it may or may not the MTU barrel cylinder is 1.250" where the M24 cylinder is 1.20" and the MTU is .930" at 26" and the M24 .900" at 26" so it really depends on how much space is in the barrel channel. Montrose

    Are you saying you only want them to chamber and thread barrel and you will set the head space your self once the machining is done are you using a barrel nut system if not then I can see why they wont touch it. Montrose
