    Mad Dog Resigns

This ^^^. The Kurds are stand-up and this will be third time they’ve been fucked over by the States. With friends like that, who needs enemies? People might think the wider world has no meaning but the c*nts who run Iran, Syria, Turkey and Russia will be laughing their asses off at us and the...

22 Creedmoor Whidden dies - current quality control?

Didn’t end up going that route. I (still) have some Alpha 22CM brass on order. Also got in contact with Forster and they’re tooling up to produce 22CM dies some time in first half of 2019. I’m not in any huge rush, so happy to wait. I won’t buy Whidden again.

Compact LRF with programmable ballistic solver

Would be even better if the 2400AB was firmware upgradable.

The Everyday Sniper Podcast 122 Caylen talks Safety

Another great podcast episode. Really worth listening to.

    Best 700 2 stage trigger

I have the BNA TAC-Sport on a Rem700 and it is really good. Need to make sure you keep enough sear engagement that it won’t drop on bolt-close or slam-fire. Some can be a bit close to the wind on this out of the box. Haven’t been able to eliminate the over-travel though - not sure that’s possible.

The Everyday Sniper Podcast, Interview Philip Velayo

Great episode. Really positive. Really enjoyed listening to what Phil had to say. He always sounds calm and measured.

    The Ckye-Pod

I've not seen or handled one of these up close. Can any users of the ckye bipod comment on the 'base' level stability, as it might compare to the elite-iron or similar cradle/higher leg apex-type bipods? The functionality and ease of use of the ckye unit looks fantastic but it looks like(?) the...

Show us your data book pages!

Closest you can get is to keep your cheekweld/position intact and do your best to write without moving. Other is to just differentiate when you are shooting for a group versus practicing calling your shots and plotting them in your DB.

Show us your data book pages!

You look like you’re on the right track. Trying to call your shots is more than many do, and you’ll get better at it with good practice. One question I’ll ask is, did you break your position between shots to mark your calls on the page, and then have to rebuild it before every subsequent shot...

PRS Talk If you DQ yourself, how do you claim to have won? Asking for a friend

@sstacllc . Fairly measured and I don’t disagree. The title of the thread is inflammatory, or at least the OP, in starting it off was ignorant of, or underestimated the amount of ill-feeling that it might generate, based on that which appears to have built up over a bad year as you describe it -...

PRS Talk If you DQ yourself, how do you claim to have won? Asking for a friend

Gents. I’m an outsider and as an Australian, live in a country where the sorts of shooting opportunities you take for granted are simply unavailable to us, other than on an extremely pared-down scale. The number of national precision rifle matches we have across a very large continent can be...

Sig Sauer - KILO3000 BDX LASER RANGEFINDING BINOCULARS

Thanks @DocUSMCRetired - but mine is a 2400ABS and I’m unable to use the supplied windmeter thanks to no 3.5mm input jack on my phone. Would’ve been great if the ABS could’ve linked to a weathermeter or BT Kestrel for the wind component. I overcome it by setting the wind to zero in the laser and...

    Terrapin X vs Kilo 2400abs

Good drills. I’m doing something slightly different. I just leave the wind set to zero and make a separate wind call.

    Terrapin X vs Kilo 2400abs

Yep, I know - and this might sound stupid but I’m one of those crApple slaves with a phone with no 3.5mm jack. You’d think I’d be able to find a lightning to 3.5mm female adapter, or at least one that would last more than 5 minutes in field conditions - but i’ve rolled a donut on that. Hence...

    22 Creedmoor vs 224 Valkarie

@RFutch You ‘might’ be able to but it would be on the outer margins. Quite a lot of research and effort has been put in by F/TR shooters testing the 90SMK out of 223s in 6.5” and 7” twist 30”+ barrels. Consensus seemed to be that fine accuracy was hard to achieve and things could turn...

    Terrapin X vs Kilo 2400abs

Frustrating that the Kilo 2400 ABS won’t pair with a Kestrel. Apart from the odd App bullet library update, Sig appears to have done zero further development work on it. No substantive app updates or unit firmware updates. It’s a great little unit but it’s going to be left behind. Hardware like...

    22 Creedmoor vs 224 Valkarie

This ^^. Down here in ‘Straya, we aren’t allowed semi-auto long guns, so the fast 22s that get considered are those that are optimal for a short action bolt rifle. In this comparison, 22 creed is it. The Valkyrie won’t likely see much use without ARs to put them in. In a side by side ballistic...
