here is the deal, I ran both
the Sig is the better Bang for the Buck in terms of features, what you get in the box, the Sig Software, etc,
The Terrapin is a better laser

I got the Kilo 2400 hundred because I liked the idea of quicker firing solutions while hunting, I got tire of fumbling with multiple devices. Watching your video on the Terrapin it looked pretty quick with the Kestrel. Do you know if it will pair with the K4500abs? Or only the 5700?
It needs Bluetooth if I can find my 4500AB I will look but I am not sure where it is..

Frustrating that the Kilo 2400 ABS won’t pair with a Kestrel. Apart from the odd App bullet library update, Sig appears to have done zero further development work on it. No substantive app updates or unit firmware updates. It’s a great little unit but it’s going to be left behind. Hardware like these LRFs need to be in-life upgradeable as most can’t afford to simply change them out every 12-24 months..
You don’t need the kestrel for the Sig it has all the same stuff built in,
You use the included weather flow wind meter for wind, and the laser has a weather meter built in.

A simple windmeter is all that’s needed with the Sig.
Flannel, Im interested in what develpoment you are referring to. Other than adding to the bullet library nothing is needed. The science ain’t changed and won’t likely.
Only thing I’d like to see is a “PRS” mode added to the Sig. This could allow for saving stages and in a perfect world feed to the Apple Watch....??

Yep, I know - and this might sound stupid but I’m one of those crApple slaves with a phone with no 3.5mm jack. You’d think I’d be able to find a lightning to 3.5mm female adapter, or at least one that would last more than 5 minutes in field conditions - but i’ve rolled a donut on that. Hence, using the included windmeter (which has a 3.5mm male pin) has largely been a bust. If the K2400 would BT to a windmeter (such as a BT kestrel or the BT windflow weathermeter) I’d be able to get the wind input going - and without a weakest link adapter cord. I have a BT Kestrel, so have hoped Sig would enable BT handshake with those, so the app could pull the wind from there - but that’s probably not possible.
I could buy another phone with a 3.5mm jack input for the windmeter and run the Sig 2400 app on that - but that would be more $$ downrange I’d hoped to spend on other shit I don’t really need.
There could be another solution that I’m missing - which is entirely possible. Any advice welcome.

Good drills. I’m doing something slightly different. I just leave the wind set to zero and make a separate wind call.
