    Suppressors taurus pt 1911

Re: taurus pt 1911 I kept my PT 1911 about three weeks. It shot ok, but the rear sight was cut wrong and the fit/finish were pretty sloppy. I called Taurus CS and got the same story. "Sure, send it to us on your own dime and then we'll keep if for a couple months and if we decide there is a...

Opening a new firearms business need opinions

Re: Opening a new firearms business need opinions Well advertised cheap ammo, a good gunsmith, primers and powder. These are things that can't be shipped (gunsmith) or get more expensive when shipped (hazmat, plus I have to track down to sign for the stuff because I'm always at work). These...

Rifle Scopes Vortex Strikefire, Bushnell Trophy, EOTech

Re: Vortex Strikefire, Bushnell Trophy, EOTech I have a Strikefire. Good out to about 100 yards for me...but beyond that I'm better with the MagPul BUS...maybe I've got my dot too fat... My experience...your mileage may vary. Best of luck with your purchase.

Rifle Scopes Is this scope too high?

Re: Is this scope too high? Thanks for the replies guys. Cheek weld is pretty good. It's been a while since I've spent much time behind a scoped rifle so I'm working on position as much as anything. I'm going to work with the set up I have based on the feedback I've gotten here. Hoping for...

Suppressors Some Rock Island Armory 1911 Love (w/pics)

That's right. I said it. I'm pretty sure I'll be banned for life from SH but my new Rock Island Armory 1911 "Tactical" is a thing of beauty. I'm not a huge fan of the 1911 platform (more blasphemy) but I figured I should have one in my collection. Plus at some point I hope to shoot a 3-gun...

Rifle Scopes Is this scope too high?

So I've got a 10X42 SS on an EGW HD Tacticool base with SWFA house brand low rings. This thing seems to sit too high. I suppose if I had something with a 50mm or > bell it would work well. Should I worry about lowering this? Different base perhaps?

Rifle Scopes XTR RINGS IN EGW HD BASE

Re: XTR RINGS IN EGW HD BASE I have that exact same setup. I noticed that myself (but I'd estimate more like 1/16; 1/8 is A LOT of wiggle room). However after 65 ft lbs of torque I doubt it really matters. ALTHOUGH the alignment argument is a pretty good one. I just push mine firmly up againt...

    Quick 3-gun AR mag ???

Are mag couplers legal in 3-gun matches? I'm assuming not. Can't find any info on it...maybe the weight of another loaded 30 round mag is the isssue if it is legal? Looking to shoot my first match soon and trying to figure out cheap gear... Thanks in advance for any input.

    Suppressors Walther P22 opinions

Re: Walther P22 opinions Mine makes for a great trainer. I use it with family/friends before they move up to something bigger (9mm, .45acp, you get the idea). I looked at the Sig too. Seem to be much more picky than the Walther. While not perfect, you'll be hard pressed to find something...

    xd or xdm

Re: xd or xdm For your budget go with the XDM. If you go with a 1911 the guys here are going to tell you to save your pennies and spend well over $1,000 on a 1911... I have a XDM (shoot IDPA with it and love it) and I've had two of the lower end (under $700) 1911's. I say had because they...
