    I got the Nightforce 2.5-10x42 recently. It's awesome. SFP but at 10X and less, it doesn't really matter. The glass is super clear and the reticle thickness just right.

    I saw this statement on the Kahles product: "A reticle placement indicator allows you to work in total darkness." What does this mean? Reticle illumination is not necessary?
