    Ruger 300 BLK Ranch Rifle

How does the Garand type gas system (that's what the Ruger mini whatever is derived from right?) work with being suppressed? The blackout is good for close range hog shooting, especially if you're trying to kill the whole bunch (please kill as many as possible my brothers farm and are overrun)...

    260 Criterion Remage free bore

Tag. I too have a Criterion Remage in 260 "Match". I spdidnt really know what was different about the match chamber. Sorry I don't have a modified case to measure the free ore of mine, but it shoots Berger 140 VLDs loaded to aics mag length really well

Maggie’s What Products have delighted you

Streamlight's ProTac 1AA flashlight. What a great little flashlight. Small enough to fit in the watch pocket of my jeans, very bright, you can even hold it with your lips to leave your hands free in a pinch. I keep it on me at all times, get one and prepare to be delighted!

Round 5 100 yard challenge - suggestions needed.

I'd like to see it kept to 20 rounds or less. Four five shot groups sounds good to me. I'd also like to see a minimum range of 300yards. It'd be good to really see how many "1/2 moa at 300+ yard" rifles/shooters are out there. This may decrease participation but would be much more sniperish

    Speer 125g hp?

I shoot them in a blackout. I've killed a few hogs with them. They shoot well and the price is good

    22-250

. But I too have wanted to build a 1-7" twist 22-259 for the 80 gr 1-8" does fine with 80 gr Amax for me

    Bore lapping rounds

Here is a before ten shot group. Here is the after group. This rifle had a really rough bore. The final finish process dramatically reduced cooper fouling, and seems to have helped accuracy as well. Rifle is a remington 700 SPS. Same batch of hand loads for each group but the after...

I think my favorite .222 700VS is shot out...what would you build?

221 fireball? Would be pretty nice set up to shoot 40 ballistic tips with a 16" barrel and a suppressor of course

    **ROUND4 !!** 100YARD+, 6group, 30round SHOOTOUT!

This is a Remington 700 with factory action/barrel in 300 blackout. I put it in an HS stock off of a 700P. That's a VX-R 2x7 scope. It isn't well suited to shooting groups as the orange circles were totally obscured. Not to bad though. All groups were shot with 125 TNTs. Shot a six round...

    **ROUND4 !!** 100YARD+, 6group, 30round SHOOTOUT!

This is a Remington 700 I bought here a few weeks ago. It's in a McMillan stock and has a 28" Criterion barrel with Savage type nut in 260 Remington. Using a Bushnell HDMR at 21x. To be honest the target was at 98 yards, lol, but I'm not moving the backstop! This was all load development...

    Leaving powder in chargemaster?

I've left powder in my chargemaster. After a few days the powder really sticks to the plastic (the green not the clear). Kind of a bitch to scrape off. Now I dump it after each session or try to anyways. Now if I could just train myself to close the powder drain and not leave a pile of...

Nosler 190 Accubond LR Vs. 210 Accubond LR

Most threads with these bullets have few responses, must not be many people using them. I have some 210 for my 300wm but haven't had a chance to load any. I really want to hear how they work and ideas of a true BC. Good luck!

    .223 Subsonic Loads

I have used the Hodgdon recipe with a 55 grain bullet and trail boss (I believe 4 grains). It fills more than half the case with powder. I agree that the 22lr makes a much better subsonic platform for plinking, but it's nice to have a subsonic load for any suppressed rifle. You can jack a sub...

    Powder coated cast lead bullets?

    Powder coated cast lead bullets?

I think you'd have a hard time casting, sizing , and coating your own. Especially if you value your time! I doubt the powder coating would harm your bore, I mean how many would you shoot after all? And cast loads are usually so mild too. The 245 looks like the bullet my NOE mold throws, it's...

    Powder coated cast lead bullets?

I may never find out as those blackout bullets from Missouri look like a good deal

    Powder coated cast lead bullets?

I'm fairly sure of that! I wasn't shooting supersonic so gas checks shouldn't be needed. Also. I won't shoot a gas check through my can. I think my alloy may have been way to soft. Just don't have the time to play with it right now

    Powder coated cast lead bullets?

I started messing with powder coating, but lost interest. I was trying to get a cast bullet to shoot without leading my 1:7 twist rem700 AAC, 300 blackout and a fast twist, threaded 22 Hornet. The blackout leads really bad. I never got enough coated to see if that would stop the leading, may...
