    Just a thought. Do you have an appropriate twist rate? You may want to measure it to find out for sure. Maybe a lighter bullet would shoot better. I know VLDs are depth sensitive but I've never gotten a 3" group because of it

    My primers crater like that too. I don't think your primers are very flattened. Look for an ejector mark or slightly hard bolt lift then back off a bit. What rifle are you shooting?

    I've been wanting to try these in my 300 WM for a long time, and they're in stock at Cabelas.com! Anyone using these? Are the BC's realistic for this bullet (210 .308)? I can't wait to push these along in front of a healthy dose of H1000!

    300 blackout.... whats it good for?....?

    I find the 300 blk to be good for close range hog blastin. Not perfect, but very good. Very mild recoil makes for fast follow up shots, fair terminal performance from the 125 grain bullets (ballistic tip, accubond, TNT), less "snap" (if that makes sense) than the 223 and much better...

    With the ease of changing barrels on a savage action are you really out that much if it only lasts 1500 rounds? Pre made barrels aren't exactly pricy, my Shilen was $300 from Midway iirc.

    What powder do you use with those 105's (and where did you find them!)? What MV do you get? And what's the muzzle blast like? Just curious. I wonder if a 6 x 45 would be pretty close to a 243 with that barrel length.

    Suppressed 300blk gas question

    Brass is always grimmy when you shoot suppressed in an AR. At least mine is in three different calibers. Two of which have adjustable gas blocks so I can turn down the gas. If I turn it off the brass is clean. Have fun with your new toys!

    I don't think you'll get them to cycle at 1500 fps or less. The copper plated bullets behave like cast bullets but fowl less, low velocity only. They would make fun subsonic rounds in a bolt gun...

    I don't know what part of Texas has that kind of weather, but here it gets to 10 every winter and 110 every summer. I doubt there's many places that can have as rapid a temperature swing as we have here either. Sometimes fifty degrees in 24 hours. That's kind of why I use H1000 and hoard RL-25!

    I like the 208 Amax and H1000 too, I'm also partial to Nosler brass. I've only shot one deer with it bullet the bullet performed well

    300 WM, 210 Berger MV a little slow

    Seems pretty slow to me. I get 2850 from with 208 amaxes and H1000, from a 24" barrel. If you're gonna deal with the recoil, blast, expense of the 300 WM and a long barrel I'd want those vids moving faster. On another note, if you moved to a slower burning powder wouldn't that extend barrel life?

    Deprimed fingers?

    A de-priming pin through the finger was the cause of one of my first trips to the e-room. I think I was six, helping dad reload some 25-06 when I fumbled a case. Must be a fairly common injury, especially when two people are working together on the same press
