    Longevity of 22LR Barrels

A 10.9 is a 10 that is doesn’t touch the 9 ring. (In Olympic air. Assume same for smallbore) https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:10_m_Air_Rifle_target.svg

    Tikka T3 Thread

You will have no issues feeding dasher from ai mags with the spacer (and front plate). Mine is perfect.

    Enduron

I liked the 4451 for 6.5 and 4166 for 6mm (varget). Pretty clean powders

PRS Talk Razor Gen 2 vs Razor AMG for prs?

I have a n hd2. If the amg had been out when I was shopping, I’d have an amg. That said, there’s really good deals to be had on used hd2s. And they are absolutely everything you need in a scope.

    Suppressors Po' Boy 5.56 suppressor

I’d recommend anything over waiting 6-10 months for that. All things considered the AAC 556sd is well under 500 bucks and made from real metals.

6 dasher bullet to start out

I've shot a 500 round box of the Hornady 105 BTHP. They give up a couple tenths in the wind to the hybrids, but they are one-hole accurate from my gun about 0.030' off (1.705 bto). I get 2950 fps with IMR 4166 at an SD of 5. And under $100/500ct to boot. Have to watch the lot-to lot variation...

    Gun mount for tripod head?

This is pretty much what I did on my krg. Bought a 200mm and cut it to fit behind the pic rail for my Harris. Cost 12 bucks.

PRS Talk Shooting off of a rope

I've found you need to get the butt end stable for a rope. And I like to hook it on a stop or bipod and pull back a little with the shooting hand. If it's low enough a modified kneeling works, with/without a pillow. If it's tall, a tripod is your best friend.

Rifle Scopes To be frugal or not when purchasing quality glass

I know the op has made a decision, but this is for the lurkers, as I was among their number once. I started with an swfa 3-15. It worked, to put it plainly. So, if you are looking for reasons that you need a 2000 dollar scope, you’re going to come up short. But that’s not the point. I bet if...

    ORIGIN Orders

Izzat a dasher mag conversion that you're using with the grendel? I've thought a short grendel would make a sweet deer rifle (here in the pine thickets).

    15x56 Comparo

That’s what I’m really trying to address: my eyes like the swarovskis ? Just pulling a little data together here in case anyone is interested. I’ll look into the canons. I’ve heard they’re great also, but forgot about them.

    15x56 Comparo

I've been casually shopping high end 15x56s for a while now after using some Swarovskis. Thought I'd throw together a table with the various specs out there in case others are looking as well... I know Swaros are the hands-down best but it seems that others bring a real value proposition to the...

Most valuable piece of equipment you have purchased

watching other people shoot through quality glass has been most instructive for me with regard to the wind and mirage. I’d also say that I’m shopping high end 15x56s after using them at a few matches. For simply spotting hits and trace inside 1000, I prefer them 2:1 over a spotter.

Suppressors Thunderbeast Arms Ultra 7 or 9

I bought a 9 thinking I might also buy a 5 later for hunting. Hasn’t happened yet because I hunt in a box stand usually and the extra length isn’t a big deal. I can say that the 9 is silly quiet on my dasher. Impacts on steel at 100 feel louder than the gun. You will have no regrets with a 7...

    Suppressed 22 BR build

What would you figure for barrel life taking it easy on a 22 br? 30-ish grains of powder...2500 accurate rounds?

Solid beginner's bolt gun for learning shoot long range?

<-- Rifle in my pic here is a 20" CTR in 260. As an only rifle, I'd recommend this wholeheartedly in a 20" 6.5 creedmoor just for the better case design and factory ammo options.

    Velocity increase after 260rds?

Don't stress over it. If you see low hits, correct up. Don't do what I did my first match and hammer 8 rounds into the dirt under the target because the mirage was too bad to call your own misses. lol Put differently, don't shoot the same miss twice. In some ways, the bullet is the best...

    Velocity increase after 260rds?

It's just light refraction. Just like a straw in a glass of water is visually displaced. I'm not aware of any field-expedient calculation. Much like wind, but more subtly, intuition is the goal. That comes from experience, both with your gear and about your shooting areas.
