    Re: New 10-22 I just bought a new one today at Dick's and it looked shiny blued to me. The only parts I am using are the bolt, guide rod with spring and bolt handle, receiver, and magazine. Barrel, sights, stock, trigger group....will be changed with aftermarket ones...

    Re: KID or VQ barrel for 10/22 Go with a Clerke. They are exceptional barrels at a really cheap price; you can buy the Clerke and have more money for the rest of the rifle. Chambers are tighter on the Clerkes also. I am not sure which on is tighter the Kidd chamber or the Clerke chamber...
