    Gun Safe

One requirement I have is an EMP proof lock when a key pad is involved. I love the key pad on my cannon, it has a regular dial combo in the center in case the key pad doesn't work for what ever reason.

GIBBZ ARMS G10 side charging upper

I used one this spring to build a Grendel pistol. Love it so far, it's so nice to be able to open the action and lock it back with one hand. I didn't do any trueing and it groups very tight, so they must be built pretty straight, no malfunctions either other than my brass catcher stopping brass...

Getting rid of AR15 upper/lower slop , your preferred method?

On my Valkyrie build with a S&W lower, I used a " smear" of RTV along the rear top of the lower. I don't like the movement either whether it hurts accuracy or not.

    questions/advice on improving accuracy

i guess those USMC marksmanship instructors don’t know what they are talking about then. Go to Paris Island and start giving pointers, then hang on to your ass lol

PRI mags for long AR boolits

I could have done a little better job with a different tool for cutting the sides down, lesson learned.

PRI mags for long AR boolits

I made my own cavity back mags. I drilled a 5/8” hole in the front of a Valkyrie magazine, then cut the edges down to blend into the hole. I can load 6-7 rounds in a mag, but I can load as long as I like. My 95 grain loads don’t stick out to far. Take a spare steel mag and give it a try.

    224 Valkyrie AR Barrel Twist?

I'm using a Shilen 6.5 twist, it shoots 75s to 95s very good, chambered by DTech. I cut the front out of one mag to load the 95s a touch longer, works like a champ. The Valkyrie is a lot of fun.

Need Advice for 6.5 Grendel pistol barrel

I just finished one with a 12.5 Ballistic advantage and it surprised me on accuracy. Well under an inch with federal 90s and about 1inch with hornady black and a 1-8 NF scope. For a $225 barrel I was impressed.

Night Vision Trijicon Reap IR 60HZ vs 30HZ mode

I have the reap ir for a scope. I got a pair of pulsar accolade range finder binoculars for scanning, thier much better than trying to scan through the rifle scope. Lot easier to take a quick look behind.

    6.5 Grendel Pistol build

I put my parts together a couple days ago minus the hand guard. I only fired a box and half for break in and function check. So far every round went bang and cycled fine. I tried a Gemtech suppressed bolt carrier, but it still seems over gased so I'm going to put an adjustable block on it. I...

JP 224V upper VS Larue 224V upper

I’m using RL17 with the 95 SMKs and getting 2649fps out of my 24”. So far mine likes Winchester 760 and RE17 the best with 90s and 95s 2750fps with 90s..

JP 224V upper VS Larue 224V upper

Also take a look a DTech. They built me a 24" last spring that is a freeking hammer with 90 and 95 SMKs. I've had it out to 1015yds. They use 6.5 twist Shilen barrels. Mine came in around $1100 with a bolt and carrier. I was impressed with thier work.

    Breaking in a .556 or .308

I do a 20-30 shot break in because I have nothing to loose by doing so. I shoot one then wet patch and bronze brush for 5-6 rounds. Then I go to 3-4 shot groups, cleaning between. The way I look at it is, if I didn't do it and my rifle shot a solid 1/2 MOA, I would wander if it would have shot...

    6.5 Grendel Pistol build

Nice looking pistol. I finally got the parts together for one myself. 12” BA barrel on a Gibbz side charger upper and a Nightforce 1-8. Got a case of hornady black for a starting point and the brass. To much reading gave me the Grendel itch.

Night Vision Need advice from experienced thermal users

I’m using the pulsar Accolade binoculars with the built in range finder. So far I really like them. I’ve spotted animals out past 800yds, and can usually Identify out to 600. I like that they hang around the neck and have a focus wheel like regular binoculars. I’ve ranged past 1200yds at night...

    Night Vision Range Finders

I was looking at rifle mounted rangefinders myself because it’s so hard to guess ranges at night. I ended up going with a pulsar Accolade xq38 LRF. I really like having it for a scanner vs swinging my rifle around to look for critters. I’ve ranged out to 1265 with them so far, further than I...

Night Vision Trijicon Reap IR 60HZ vs 30HZ mode

I used mine tonight for the first time hunting. I started on 60 but went to 30 to save the battery's and didn't notice much difference. The detail was amazing, I was watching mice at over 100yds and could make out rabbits at 300. I Spotted a coyote at 450, but couldn't get him to come in. I...

Night Vision Trijicon IR hunter or Snipe IR

Thanks for the input guys. I found a good deal and a like new demo Reap IR. After your advice I decided to go that route. It was painful, but I didn't want to buy and then upgrade at a loss. Now I need to find a Silencer co Radius. Thanks again.
