    "just an FYI, most 870 mag extenders arent "drop in"...as there are usually dimples in the factory 870 tube that need to be ground or pressed out" Not most. Only later ones. The easiest way to remove the dimples with the least risk is to drill them out. I like Nordic Components tubes.

    I built a SHTF shotgun on a Remington 870 Turkey gun base. I wanted screw in chokes and a vent rib barrel. A shotgun will never be my go to defense weapon so the 21" barrel will never be a handicap. Let me see if I can find a picture to post.

    That is probably what he means (FSB). If I were building an 11.5 I would use a FF handguard and quality fixed front sight unless it was full auto and aiming wasn't very important.

    I just built an upper around an Odin 16" carbine gas barrel that will never shoot subs or with a can. I used the Odin adjustable block. It is cheap insurance I may never use.     If precision is your game You probably want to stay away from chromed barrels. On the other hand just because a barrel is stainless doesn't make it a good barrel. Good barrels cost good $$$.

    You say slope but you mean drop at heel. The more drop the harder it is on your cheek. The MagPul isn't quite a parallel comb but it's close.

    If it moved a little it's probably not thread locker. Is the MD or barrel stainless steel? Something moving a little and then stopping sounds like it is galled.

    It wasn't cut with a laser. It was cut with a down cut bit. Probably a dull one.
