I've done an initial search online and see that there are a wide array of products available to extend the magazine tube on the new addition to the family.

I want something that is functional... drop in.... and the sumbitch works day in and day out. Would like to add more than 2 rounds of additional capacity... full length would be nice.

What product/manufacturer should I consider, and what should I avoid. Thanks in Advance

"just an FYI, most 870 mag extenders arent "drop in"...as there are usually dimples in the factory 870 tube that need to be ground or pressed out"

Not most. Only later ones. The easiest way to remove the dimples with the least risk is to drill them out. I like Nordic Components tubes.

I purchased a Wilson Combat Scatterguns Technology Rem 870 with 18" barrel with mag extension tube & Surefire forend.
All that weight out front I find a huge disadvantage.
Unless you are Arnold Schwartzenager build, the muzzle swung target-to-target about as fast a PanaMax super tanker.

Put the WC on a 14" diet and it's been a bitch ever since.

Assuming that the dimples you refer to are just inside the magazine tube under the endcap?

they are right where the endcap ends on the tube

i would recommend using a swaging tool to remove them instead of drilling....that way you dont have a large holes in your magtube

Just finished this SBS Mossberg 590 Shockwave host 20 ga. which is a better choice, for my way of thinking, than a 12 ga. for about the house although it was done for fun not specifically for that role.
