    Gunsmithing Adding a shoulder

It could be as simple as using a precision ground washer. I'd start with one of these turned to the OD you want. https://precisionarmament.com/product/replacement-accu-washer-shims/

"What is wrong with a good old Model 29 8 3/8 inch. It shoots like a rifle " Nothing if your game is southern whitetail or smaller inside of 50 yards.

Gunsmithing Nitride service for older barreled action

I would want to remember my ancestors rifle for what it is and where it's been. It would comfort me knowing his fingerprints were still on the rifle. Refinishing will take that away.

Gunsmithing Need recommendation for a gunsmith who can install a rail on my Beretta shotgun

Another thing you might try before spending the money on a red dot. Have the smith put a mid bead on the barrel. On most ribs stacking the front bead on top of the mid bead gets you close on a target that isn't rising. I have never seen a turkey fly before running 50 yards.

Gunsmithing Need recommendation for a gunsmith who can install a rail on my Beretta shotgun

Removing and replacing will not be something you want to do often. Threads in an aluminum receiver won't hold up long before stripping. Have you ever seen on of these? >> https://www.ebay.com/itm/Burris-300256-SpeedBead-Red-Dot-Reflex-Sight-Beretta-391-20-Gauge/273878389532 .

You may want to look at ammo availability and cost before doing it. I know you want to do it yourself but you could get him a decent modern bolt gun for less money.

    Gunsmithing Help, Rockwell Lathe Model

The old guy who taught me 45 years ago had a couple of rule that breaking wouldn't be forgiven. Never take your hand off of the chuck key if it is in the chuck and no loose clothing or long hair.

    Gunsmithing Thinnest firearms coating ?

BOESHIELD T-9. It was developed to coat the inner surfaces of airframes used in marine environments. A friend who does marine construction in salt water sprays it on the ends of galvanised bolts he has to cut. Another product that would work is MILITEC-1. When applied properly the firearm...

Gunsmithing Who is your go to for dlc bolt coating

Problem with the guys that advertise this service do NOT do it in house. They send it out. The people who do it aren't gonna do a hand full of parts so they do them in batches. Hundreds of small parts to the batch. If you get your order in at the tail end filling the batch you might do alright...

Gunsmithing Ortiz Custom Guns (Savannah GA)

"Well it's quite a ways from the gates, in fairness, and it's a Korean restaurant down the street, not a titty bar. There's a pawn shop across the road from HAAF's gates, though. But I'm talking about gunsmithing, not whether or not he's got stuff available in the store or not. 'Cause, I mean, I...
