    I am buying a new house and need a new gun safe. Thinking of putting it in the garage with a workbench and finally getting into reloading. Any recommendations on a floor safe ? I will need to hold about a dozen guns, couple of pistols, and reloading supplies in a secure and fireproof way.

    Hey Anton/Kevin, I may have to skip Saturday's match. Just realized I won't be able to make it up to the range tomorrow to zero my new rifle in its stock, and I know I can't zero at UNSC on Saturday. I'll confirm tomorrow evening.

    +1 on the Tikka. My first gun was Savage model 10 fcp-k in .308. I loved it and it shot great, but after I bought a Tikka in .260, I sold the Savage and switched to Tikkas.

    Do you all have an advice on reading mirage? The few times I have had successful mid range hits in windy conditions have been through reading the mirage right, but I cant do it consistently. I have been told that adjusting your parallax for 2/3rd of the way to the target and reading the mirage...

    140 Hybrids at 3100 fps ? I guess those are the ultimate wind beaters. I could have used them at Ellensburg this year :-).

    I hear you. Just looked it up on ammoseek and there is decent amount of factory loaded .223 77 gr match ammo so I could probably find some factory ammo that shot decent. I'll shoot 308 over the winter and see how I do - might swap into 223 next year once I burn through my ammo. Long term...

    308 match ammo is easier to find since I don't reload, but I did think of 223 as well. Now I am going to end up with a 223, I just know it :-).

    Mainly as a training gun for trigger time - plan is to set it up exactly the same as the .260. I might even shoot it at Upper Nisqually and TCGC - anywhere where the max range is < 600 and stakes aren't high. I also went crazy and got a cheap used Tikka in .243 when I was at the gun shop...

    I have T3 Sporter and it is .866 inches at the muzzle. I have a new .308 CTR I am picking up tomorrow, so I will measure it and let you know by the end of the week.

    At just over $1000, these are very tempting Weaver Tactical Rifle Scope 34mm 6-30x 56mm SmartZero Side Focus First. I'm wondering if I should pull the trigger on one of these or wait for the new Steiners.
