    Seekins HAVAK Precision Rifle

First thing I'm going to do when I get mine is try to get the Timney to about 20 ounces. If I can't do it reliably, the TT or Jewell will replace it.

    Seekins HAVAK Precision Rifle

Well, let's hope my 6.5 prc experience is better than others. I did try to have my order changed from the pro hunter to the Bravo, but they would have to put me back to the back of the line. I opted to keep the order in place, and it has now shipped, so I'll know soon enough. If it doesn't...

    Seekins HAVAK Precision Rifle

To answer my own question, the short answer was no. They would allow me to keep the discount but would put me back to the back of the line. If the pro hunter isn't a shooter it's getting a proof barrel and krg chassis. Still gonna be cheaper than a full custom build. And on a better note, the...

    Seekins HAVAK Precision Rifle

Has anyone had success changing their order while on the wait list? Ordered the pro hunter with a 15% discount, but am now thinking about going with the bravo. Of course, I don't want to lose my place in line, and I'd like to retain the discount.

Phoenix Custom Rifles pics, reviews, lead times

What are your lead times right now? I have a 6.5prc seekins on order but accuracy reports aren't all that exciting and you've done a few rifles for me already so I know I can count on accuracy not being an issue. Nick Radle

    Hornady concintricity tool?

I like the Hornady unit for correcting runout, but not for measuring it. It may work, but I prefer using my Sinclar to find the high side and correct with the Hornady. Hoping that I won't have to do much correcting now that I switched to Lee Collet sizing dies and L.E. Wilson chamber-type arber...

    Seekins HAVAK Precision Rifle

You must be assuming that the shooter can shoot, and that the rounds used are in the low single digit ES numbers, correct? Because you can have a rifle on a brick shithouse rest where it simply cannot move. Then you can send 5 rounds through paper and easily print a sub moa group at 100. Then...

    Verifying chargemaster

If you are looking to 'verify' that it is throwing accurate charge weights, then just don't buy it in the first place and get a better scale/system to start with. The chargemaster is good for loading plinker and hunting rounds at best. I'll spare you the wonder about verifying the weights - it's...

    low SD big group

Bergers, even the Hybrids, can be finicky about seating depth. But all questions asked here need to be answered. Additionally, how are you, typically, as a shooter? Has this rifle already punched bugholes with other loads? Is it a custom rifle with an accuracy guarantee? So many questions/factors...

A&D FX120i labscale reloading upgrade with V2 auto trickler review.

I got this same email. Apparently you had to be someone special to be able to order on may 23, or in the know, have the inside scoop, etc, because I didn't get the V3 release email until May 24@0910MST. So how could I possibly have ordered any sooner? I'm wondering if he has his dates off by a...

    Seekins HAVAK Precision Rifle

That would be exactly correct for IPHY. But 1 MOA at 100y is actually slightly more than one inch. Addditionally, sub MOA is considered the standard for pretty much any rifle intended for any type of precision. It's pretty much expected. The only factory rifle I have ever shot that struggled to...

I used a unibit(step drill). I used the unibit brand, but you can find decent ones at harbr freight: https://www.harborfreight.com/3-piece-titanium-nitride-coated-high-speed-steel-step-drills-91616.html?_br_psugg_q=step+drill+bit

You want ZERO movement. The measure doesn't even like moving air. I'd rather have it on it's own bench that is on solid ground. The wall will move with every closing door in the house, if your reloading room is in the house.

Elr caliber advice on a 700 la

If you want ELR in a long action there is far more power available for unmodified long actions, specifically, the 28 nosler comes to mind. I built one off a Savage long action, used CDI bottom metal. Not loading mine terribly long or using a custom reamer and I get 3100fps out of the Berger 195s...

I ordered the electronics and $20 accessories kit about 10 hours after receiving the email. Nothing yet, but 3d printed stuff takes time. If electronics are shipping I'm sure everything else is not far behind.
