Howa mini-action with 22 Grendel barrel..? Maximum mag length is like 2.300 from what I have read...

Where are PRS rifles headed in optimal caliber? 22x47/22CM?

It would be interesting if it did end up going that direction with the 22s. But what are you looking at for Barrel life? It must be similar to 22-250 AI or 220 Swift levels at that point right? Like 1000 rounds or something absurd?

Sidearms & Scatterguns First pistol ever, which one??

The people recommending 22s are not saying use that for his criteria, but as a practice tool. A 22 pistol can pay for itself in ammo cost quite quickly. 5000 rounds of 9mm: ~$1000 Glock 17: ~$550 Total: ~$1550 5000 rounds of 22LR: ~$260 Mk IV 22/45 Lite (which could later double as a great...

You can only run CZ mags in the small frame guns. Not the large frame guns such as Stock 2/3, Limited, Limited Pro, etc

I wish they had a way to hook to swivel studs. I'd get a 9-13" one for hunting with, it has got to be lighter than a Harris.

    Caldwell Accumax Bipod

Just as a head's up, I was just looking at these on Amazon and they are much cheaper than anywhere I've seen on there. 64 for the keymod/MLOK one and 70 for the pic rail version 6-9". The 9-13" is 77 and 82, respectively.

Pretty well, yeah haha. As W54 mentioned, properly sprung I don't think the muzzle even lifts out of the A zone as well.

Sidearms & Scatterguns First pistol ever, which one??

Maybe because it is semi-expensive, shoots an oddball caliber that is not common to find ammo for, doesn't really have any better capacity than some of the other pistols mentioned here (CZ P09, XDm 9mm, etc), AND it isn't very comfortable at all haha? At least it is super soft and flat shooting...

Sidearms & Scatterguns First pistol ever, which one??

Yeah, that struck me as super odd as well. If you wanna be good at shooting, regardless of what kind of shooting it is, you NEED to dryfire. A lot. It is probably more important than live fire, IMO. Shotgunners can put a mini-mag flashlight in the muzzle and practice mounting the gun and...

I wonder if we could see that in the regular match ammo as well soon...

Sidearms & Scatterguns Benelli M1 Super 90 entry gun for use in 3 Gun???

The M2 is probably the single most popular gun in the game, and the M1 is very much the same deal so it would certainly work. But like you said, by the time you buy all the crap to make it worthwhile to shoot a match with, you would have been better off buying a new gun. My buddy has a Benny...

Sidearms & Scatterguns First pistol ever, which one??

I never recommended a race gun to him, though we did end up out in the weeds a bit there haha. I actually recommended a full size plastic fantastic 9mm based on his criteria just like most everyone else in this thread did. It makes the most sense for what he is thinking, and as far as caliber I...

    Trigger pull weight?

After so many thousands of rounds of pistol with sub 2 pound triggers, anything over about 2 lb feels horribly heavy to me. I would set my rifle lower if I could, it feels like it is around 2.5 to me. I am the kind of guy that would probably have a 10 oz single stage trigger haha. It is also...

Finally, something every one of us can agree on.

    Maggie’s Safety is for Sissy's

A couple wraps of electrical tape around the frame and grip safety underneath the grip panels is a definite winner in my book. Or, you know, just cut off the activator tab thingy.

Sidearms & Scatterguns First pistol ever, which one??

If you are shooting a gun that regularly has issues, you will not win. Plain and simple, there are no two ways about it. Round count doesn't tell the whole tale, no, but neither does dunking a gun in a vat of mud water or burying it in sand. Because that isn't real life either. Match guns get...

Sidearms & Scatterguns First pistol ever, which one??

Good point, very very true. The MK4 is 10000% times easier to deal with than the older guns. It takes me pulling up youtube and a couple hours every time I want to clean my MKIII

I'm not being obnoxious, just pointing out the truth. STI =/= all 2011. Yes, they build 2011s. But frankly, they build bad 2011s. People on the pistol side of the house look at STI QC the same as people over here look at Remington or Savage QC. It is legitimately that bad. A Glock is built...
