    That's why getting the good stuff (like my trades) is so important, with careful rinsing and drying, you can get most of your $$ back later. You're kinda out of luck with the cheap stuff. Like everything......buy once, cry once.

    KOD, buy some of the Dielectric grease discussed in the other thread and you won't need a hammer or screwdriver anymore to disassemble. Coat everything inside and out with it (except the outside of the outer tube, of course).

    Don't use anti-seize grease, it makes a horrible mess. Get the stuff I mentioned above, you'll thank me for it, I have 2 Sparrows with in excess of 40k rounds through each, most on full auto. I know of what I speak.

    gas port erosion pics, new and after 100 rounds.

    I've got one gas port in a SS match bbl that is eroded so bad you can't get it all in 2 pics, you'd need to show a movie. I'd estimate 5/8" or a little more not counting the port. A 243 WSSM with about 900 rounds on it. Still shoots under 1/2 MOA 5 shot groups.

    Don't even think about a pipe wrench. Hold it by the outer tube and beat the threaded end on a piece of hard wood or some hard plastic. If you want to heat it up, keep it under 300 deg. F. After you get it really clean, buy some pure silicone dielectric grease (auto parts) and grease everything...

    Single stage or Two stage trigger?

    If the trigger is under 2 pounds, I like a two stage. On my Vudoo, I run a B&A at 2 oz. first stage, 3 oz. second stage. On my hunting rifles I like a 2.5 pound single stage.

    Something no one seems to ever talk about. Buy a CZ for $650 (or whatever), put on a $300-600 stock and $350 barrel, trigger, etc, etc., spend 200 hours trying different ammo, etc, etc...you're still not happy.....THEN try and sell it...you'll be LUCKY to get 1/2 back of what you have in it...

    Budget varmint ammo .223?

    That Fed 50 tipped AE stuff was hard to beat, I bought 8,000 rounds of it when PSA had it for under $5 a box shipped, still have probably 4k rounds left. It seems to shoot MOA or better in about any gun.
