    Suppressors 6.5MM Suppressor: Which one?

Thats a large jump from needing a 6.5 can to looking at 338’s. Now 6.5 does sound pretty good through something like the TBAC 338 Ultra, you just end up with more weight/length, but it can do everything. I have a Surefire can, and the mounting system is robust, simple to use, and seems to be...

Suppressors Best Can for 300 Norma Mag

If you want to leave options open, go with the TBAC 338 so if you jump to a 338 norma (or anything else between 308-338). If you know you are staying at the 308 diameter, possibly consider the TBAC Ultra 9. Won’t be as quiet, but is a bit smaller as well.

LMT vs LWRC vs KAC for AR10

All three make nice rifles, but knowing your intended purpose will help. What do you want to do with it? What scope are you planning on using ICW? Do you like piston vs DI? Do you want the ability to pull the barrel with a few Allen keys? Narrowing down use will help narrow down...

    Accuracy International Picture Thread

It felt good to get back behind the AI again. It had been a few months with moving, then finally buying a scope. Thinking of swapping to the AX buttstock after the SHC.

Pardon the potatoe level quality. Look up the “29 palms” thread and you will see good photos.

It is all where you look. This spot is near Vegas. And the second is from the Inland Empire area too. Both under three hours from my house.

Any Recce or, Mini Recce builds?

The LPVO helps to confirm the target, and PID. Some have great illumination (Vortex Razor 1-6 comes to mind), and still remain pretty forgiving at 1x. I am mid-process of switching everything to have optics, with the possibility of offset red-dots on the 3-18x 14.5” rifle (eventually putting a...

You can always hope for Alaska, so of the best times I have ever had. Not because of the unit, but because of the location.

There are a few of us in the Inland Empire/Irwin area. And the post on range has gotten a bit better recently as well.

What exactly is the GA Precision 6GT

All the jokes and memes almost make me want one. Maybe it was George’s secret marketing plan all along.

Which bipod for arca swiss rail?

I run an Atlas PRS with the RRS adapter for the rail and pic. Gives me a few more options for mounting if I swap it around to other rifles. The notched legs keeps height consistent and lots of feet options. Definitely not the only functional option though.

PRS Talk 223 vs 308 tac class

A 77gr bullet seems to wiggle some of the bigger steel about as much as some of the 6dasher folks. If you are using it as an excuse to build a rifle, like you said, the component cost of 223 is much lower, while offering less recoil compared to a 308. And you could likely run a bit shorter...

    PRS Talk PRS Loadout

My first match I went to I had almost nothing (and that is actually a good thing!) Rifle, rear bag, optic, 2x magazines (AW mags only hold 10, 11 if I get lucky), IPhone with AB on it, notecards, and a sharpie. I brought some water and a way to carry my ammo and off to the match I went. The...

PRS Talk Suppressor or Muzzle Brake?

I have ran a Area 419 brake as well as my Saker 762. I have also had my ear pro wiggle out a bit during a stage while running a brake. Definitely not comfortable, and some damage. So now I run a can because it is more comfortable for me overall. Yes, I have more recoil, longer barrel to move...

    308 Beyond 1K YARDS

AI AT with a factory 24” barrel. Longer loading with Berger 175 VLD’s and a heavy charge of Varget has it moving around 2790fps. Consistent hits out at 1358 yards in Georgia. Hits in matches at 1100+ yards in Wyoming and about 7 mils of wind. This load also works in my AW magazine, so...

Sadly I won’t have ammo to burn until after SHC in June. Looking forward to finally having my AI down here. Guess I’ll see some of you all in the fall. Though I have to say Alaska does have some open public land to shoot on as well.

My conundrum regarding my Scar 20s

If you like keeping things stock because they don’t need upgrades, things like KAC, your SCAR, Accuracy Internationals, etc, are hard to beat. You buy it, and run it and it will always perform at a high level. If you like tinkering, and incrementally upgrading things to make it custom to you...
