    SIG Blaser Tactical 2 Overview

Re: SIG Blaser Tactical 2 Overview Well, as the proud owner of a Tactical II in .338LM, I thought to myself, "Self, you've never had THAT happen to your mags!" So, I went to the safe, got the rifle, four rounds of 250gr Corbon ammo and loaded up. (BTW, what he said about loading the...

Re: Sako TRG-22 And BTW, I also got the cheek riser, buttpad spacers and safety lever from Terje. Top notch stuff, and absolutely no regrets.

Blaser Tactical II question - changing calibers

Re: Blaser Tactical II question - changing calibers Of course, I'm ready to do a ladder test on it, so that will hopefully yield some good results. I'll post the results.

Blaser Tactical II question - changing calibers

Re: Blaser Tactical II question - changing calibers The brass I got for free from my work. Granted, not everyone has that available to them, but it does cut down the cost. I'm using CCI magnum primers, Retumbo powder (bought the 8# can to get the savings), and SMK 250gr bullets (again...

Blaser Tactical II question - changing calibers

Re: Blaser Tactical II question - changing calibers If I were to buy the rounds off the shelf, they would be upwards of $6/shot. However, since I handload, the price is about $0.67/shot, and goes down with each subsequent loading I put on the brass. That's less the FGMM or any other...

Blaser Tactical II question - changing calibers

First, this is not meant to be a "whaddya think about Blasers" thread. I got that from the search function. This is a question for those who have a Blaser Tactical II-- In order to switch from my 338LM to a .223, I would be sinking $2050 into the endeavor (barrel, bolt head and magazine). Has...

Rifle Scopes Nightforce F1 eye relief?

Re: Nightforce F1 eye relief? I was at the rifle course at RiflesOnly, and almost everyone had a 15x max scope. Although it worked well, it was at a disadvantage at 1k yards over the 22x scopes. However, the FFP on the 15x was worth the lower magnification in that application. I just...

    Sako TRG-22

Re: Sako TRG-22 When I bought mine, the previous user had re-installed the trigger incorrectly, and then installed the bolt. As a result, the trigger mechanism had to be replaced. Since then, though, it has been awesome, and I have had no regrets.

Rifle Scopes Anyone go FFP and decide it wasn't for them?

Re: Anyone go FFP and decide it wasn't for them? I have both, and although I do prefer the ffp, I have decided future purchases don't have to have ffp (i.e., for me, it's not worth the extra money).

    338 LM reloads

Just started reloading my .338 LM tonight. First thought was, "Boy, that uses a lot of powder...." Then, "Ya' know, these are just plain big rounds...." And finally, looking at my 100 rounds ready for both a ladder test and an OCW test, "That would be $600 worth of ammo if purchase...

Am I the only one who reloads .40?

Of all the brass I've sold, I've never had a request for .40. Ever. I realize since law enforcement uses the .40, there must be a good supply of brass. But I surely thought someone would need some. I have about 20k cases -- so I'd better get busy!

    Full Size a loaded round?

Re: Full Size a loaded round? I guess I have a different take-- if you chamber the round, you are effectively resizing the case with your chamber. If you have no problem doing that, then resizing on a press should pose no more hazard. In fact, on a press it's away from your face....
