What scope do you have on your 22?

The guy that didn't like a scope states is was an old discontinued Midas BTR, not the new Midas TAC. The Midas TAC has a completely different turret system.

Rifle Scopes Athlon Cronos - not enough "reverse" adjustment??

I suspected the zero stop, sorry I was late to the thread! I've got a Remington 700 in 300 RUM. I ran a 40 MOA rail on it and still have almost 2 mils down adjustment to spare with a 100 yard zero. This reminds me, I didn't even check to see where the zero stop is set on mine. I'm still playing...

What scope do you have on your 22?

I came across this thread https://www.longrangehunting.com/threads/athlon-midas-tac.203669/ The fellow did end up with a Midas TAC, take a look and see what he thinks.

    Rifle Scopes loctite purple?

On my personal firearms I have a tendency to move scopes around quite a bit. I have been playing with Vibra-tite VC3 Threadmate for the last few weeks. It's an interesting compound and maintains its effectiveness over 5x (threading in and out, so says the manufacturer). My experience has been...

Rifle Scopes Athlon Cronus BTR vs Delta Stryker

How did that slip by! Yes, the MSRP is in fact $1,999.99. There are quite a few in PRS production matches and I haven't heard of anyone questioning the MSRP. Either way, we will get that updated.

Rifle Scopes Scope Tracking Test / Tall Target Test Athlon Cronus BTR

Yes, you're right it needs to be plumb for a Tall Target test. Semantics right? My apologies. A box test, I suppose you could do either, level or plumb it. I prefer a carpenters level since the wind won't shift it, I don't have to worry about the string touching the target frame, and I don't...

Rifle Scopes Shooting for the Mile setup (Nightforce specific)

I definitely agree, any scope with 100+ MOA total elevation adjustment. I too would use a 40 MOA rail. You're starting to cant that scope pretty good so pay attention to your barrel profile (in your case handguard) and ring heights for clearance. I wonder if Warnes new Angleye rings would be...

Rifle Scopes Which optic for 3 gun

The Cronus BTR 1-6x24 ATSR2 has served me very well this year. One feature I've really come to appreciate is the very forgiving eye relief. 3 gun forces you into some weird positions. I've always shot "nose on the charging handle" to help maintain a consistent cheek wield in those weird...

You are correct, the Cronus BTR is getting a floating dot reticle. I believe its debut is going to be at Shot Show!

Rifle Scopes Athlon 1-6x Cronus BTR Review

Strelok Pro phone app, Any caliber, any load. Change your zero distance and get your subtensions to stay in the "kill zone" at your longest distance hash mark. A lot of times that keeps all the other subtensions in the "kill zone" as well. IE, 53 yard zero instead of 200 yard zero. This is what...

Rifle Scopes We Just Received an AMAZING Athlon Delivery

Yea, did I mention the Cronus dot is even brighter than the Midas on the highest setting? I usually run the 1-6x Cronus two positions from the max setting.

Rifle Scopes Athlon 1-6x Cronus BTR Review

I'm of the same mind set. I can't say I've ever had an issue with .5 MOA in this style scope, Even in 3gun matches I've never had an issue with the coarse adjustments as we are shooting 8" or bigger plates. The max distance I've run a 1-6x on 3gun targets was about 600 yards. A couple folks in...

Rifle Scopes Midas BTR 4.5-27x50 APLR1

You could use Strelok Pro and get substension data for any magnification, if you want to use the reticle to hold over. Ranging on the other hand, yeah do that at 15x. You guys nailed it with the desire to keep FOV.

Rifle Scopes Scope Tracking Test / Tall Target Test Athlon Cronus BTR

I agree. Nearly maxing out turrets does have some effect. You can do it, there's no risk to the scope, but id prefer to stay in that "sweet spot." It makes life a little easier! 34mm tubes and canted rails for me!

Rifle Scopes Athlon Cronus BTR 4.5-29x56 Review

Yea, I missed the 6mm Creed mention. I was going off the initial post and assumed it was the 300 or 338. On the other hand, who doesn't enjoy the challenge of going subsonic?

Rifle Scopes Scope Tracking Test / Tall Target Test Athlon Cronus BTR

Nice job! Quick question, how did you level your target? Carpenters level? I got to spend some time behind a really cool "scope level." I was leary and had doubt, but quite frankly I was very impressed. Check out the Long Range Arms Send-It...
