Best Value 6.5 Creedmore Brass - Go...

Lapua is definitely the stuff. It’s all I use for 308. Currently using Hornady for 6.5 creedmoor because I had some once fired brass from factory loaded eld match. My rifle shoots well with the Hornady brass but I do the extra case prep on it that I don’t with Lapua. It’s ok if you want to...

    New Primers = New Load?

I’ve swapped primers several times in my creedmoor load with Hornady brass because I was unable to find what I had been using locally. Out to 600 yards I’ve notived very little if any changes. I’ll likely chrono them eventually just out of curiosity

Load Development in High Mirage Conditions

I hear ya. set up a target today at 600 going to shoot test loads for a new bullet on paper and after seeing how bad the mirage was I ended up just shooting my old faithful load at steel. Figured I’d save the test loads for a better day

2018 BigJimFish Review blog Grayboe, MPA, Kelbly, Sightron, Athlon.

I’ve got a Grayboe Renegade with mpa bottom metal and it serves me just fine. Fit and finish excellent and the barreled action that sits in it shoot great. I’ve been considering trying out a ridgeback. Look forward to seeing how the full review goes.

    Gunsmithing Marine-Tex

Die grinder or dremel very carefully. I would suggest bedding the new action to it to get a good exact fit after grinding on it. I’ve done several of my own. While it’s nerve racking, I haven’t had one yet that didn’t end with good results when re-bedded. I’ve always used devcon but believe...

    MPA BA Competition vs Lite

I have the ba lite. Buddy has the competition model which I’ve seen and handled a lot. Can’t go wrong with either just depends on what your looking for mainly in weight. The lite is maybe a couple pounds lighter. Differences are lite has shorter forend and doesn’t have the thumb wheel for...

    Defective Winchester brass - 300WM

I’ve placed many orders with midway over the years and finally this year had my first issue. The box got roughed up during shipping and a couple plastic ammo boxes were crushed along with about half a 500 ct box of reloading bullets were loose inside the box and escaped out the bottom. I...

    Getting on paper when zeroing?

Pulling out the bolt and looking through the bore at a dot on target at 100 yards has always worked easily for me. Will at least get you on a sheet of notebook paper then you can adjust from there.

Fathers- what's a good tactical diaper bag? haha

Lol great thread. A diaper bag is one of those items I let the wife have at it. Of course they get the overpriced total chick themed one. But when they are shocked about the price of something gun related we ordered we can say well you gave $100 bucks for a diaper bag. Gotta pick your...

    Range Report Factory ammo

My creedmoor liked the Hornady ELD 140 so much I didn’t see any reason to try a more expensive ammo. Of course your rifle may have a different preference

    Factory 6.5 Cm

I prefer the 140 weight bullet, my creedmoor shoots them great, and they are cheaper. No reason for me to try a more expensive ammo. My wallet will thank me lol. I picked up the factory loaded eld match on sale at midway, now just hand loading those cases.

    185 juggernaut

I’ve got the same rifle with a couple boxes of jugs to test out. What length did you settle on loading them at? Like yours, of course mine also has a super long throat. Do you know what kind of velocity your getting at 40.5 varget?

    308 Ammo... I know I know

Definitely Federal Good medal match. It’s usually always on sale somewhere. For the price and accuracy of a factory loads it’s hard to beat.
