    I agree with contacting the builder. If I was going to trust a smith enough to build me an expensive rifle , I would hope he would step up and make it right.

    Hunting & Fishing 223/5.56 for deer. Who here does it !

    My 7 year old son killed his first deer sunday with an AR-15. Using 62 grain Federal tactical load bonded soft-point. 1 shot 98 yards and the deer ran about 30 yards. Needless to say he is thrilled, as am I!

    If the repr has the sopmod you will have to change your buffer tube to rifle length and change the buffer as well to use the PRS

    I have .308 and .338 lapua conversions (both factory DTA). The POI shift for my .338 is .8mils high and .5mils right of my .308 every single time.

    Also depends on how fast you want it. DTA ordered today is probably 6-8 month wait. Sounds like the AX is available now.

    Have you shot either one? The reason I ask is that I have and the feel is drastically different. I chose DTA and haven't regretted my decision.

    Hornady 178 BTHP, Has any one had any success with these?

    They have shot great for me out to 750 yards. DTA SRS using lapua brass 44gr Viht n550 CCI br2 primer seated to .020 off lands. 22 inch barrel. 100 yard 5 shot groups .5" or better. Shoot 12x12 steel out to 750 and can normally keep 6 inch group or slightly better

    No doubt. Ordered my deployment kit w/ 2 conversions in december and the order was finally complete a little over a week ago. The .338 lapua conversion was about 6 weeks behind the chasis and .308. Definitely worth the wait.

    Thanks. That is not by choice ( eleveation for that zero is .4 mils from absolute bottom). I dont mind a 300 yd zero as I rarely shoot at distances less than 300yds. The mil-6 reticle gives a great aimpoint for 100 yards with the -.1 hold under though.
