I ordered it almost completely stock, and went with the regular curved trigger. Only upgrade was to use the flat recoil spring.

Entire pistol is to be in flat dark earth, except the grips and sights. Also I omitted the WC markings on the slide.
WC salesman Nicholas was quite helpful, and steered me away from the flat trigger.

Thanks to all for their recommendations, I am excited about my first foray into the 1911 world.

I've got a fairly standard CQB as well. Ambi safety, otherwise pure stock CQB.

I've probably owned and shot forty or fifty different 1911's since I bought my first one as an 18 yr old in 1968. Without a doubt the current crop of Wilsons, NightHawks and Ed Browns I have shot or owned....have been amazingly reliable as well as accurate.
Currently down to my CQB and a Commander sized EB as shooters.... the EB is my daily carry.

Talk about one hell of a FIRST 1911! You did Well! Now just endure the wait as it's worth it.

What a way to start in the 1911 world. I have 2 WC 1911's, a CQB and a Tactical Elite. I shoot both of them more than I do my TRP. Give us a range report when you get it. Congrats on a fine 1911.

Steve,
Congratulations on a great choice. You will like it. What grips did you get and what sights?

Post some pics when you get it

I ordered it with the stock grips and sights. However I really like the Hogue rubber grips, and I seem to be more accurate with them. I went back and forth on the sights, thinking about night sights for a while. The Speed Chute is no longer available, they have another option that cost $250, and I decided to skip it for the time being.

The entire gun is to be in FDE, sort of like the new Colt Marine Pistol. I read that the Marines tried rubber grips, but decided not to use them because cleaning chemicals were melting the rubber. So basically I have a stock gun except for the flat spring upgrade, and I will change the grips when it arrives.

The only problem now, is that I am thinking about a second 1911 from WC! As soon as I have this paid off, I will probably order the Professional Lightweight. This is like a Sig-ness.
I thought DA/SA was the way to go until I felt some SA only pistols. I suspect that my Sigs will sit in the back of the safe for some time.

By the way, I ordered these in 9mm. Less recoil, better penetration with +p and +p+ ammo, 2 more rounds, and it keeps my ammo supplies simpler. Everything I have is 9mm, with the exception of one .357 Sig.

My Cqb is about 8 years old now with 12000 rds but it still shoots Like a champ in the right hands< not mine but everyone else that picks it up, You made a good choice I just upgrtaded all the bulletproof parts in mine. The one thing to note is that if you upgrade the firing pin on a new 45 its a 9mm pin

I ended up going with the front cocking serrations. Also I have found a few of the CQB's for sale at dealers, for very slightly over cost. I may buy one of those rather than wait a year or more. The stock build is just about perfect, WC must know what they are doing...
