    KMW Sentinel Rifle Eye Candy

Nice rifle Jelrod1 and spswatip, you both have a great builder to work with. Terry's on a very short list of trusted builders/shooters that I have. I've known Terry for several years and he's been 110% solid gold since day one. I'm sure the extra barrels will shoot in small dots.

    Gunsmithing Marine-tex bedding cure time???

Really depends on air temperature and the amount of hardener you added but roughly 6-8 hours. It wont be set up 100% by then but hard enough to handle. Leave your overage/waste on a piece of cardboard or paper plate on the table and gauge the cure by the hardiness of the waste. If this is your...

    Cheek Rest Qustion (F-class stock)

The KMW Hardware is the only way to fly and Joe Ducos is your go to guy for the install. As far as the Adj. LOP, McMillan sells their spacer system and it's made to install and "fit to finish" This would be a great combo and the way I would recommend you to go. The spacer system can be a DIY...

    6mm Dasher

For Berger 105 VLD's my no turn neck reamer for the older paper box brass was .103" freebore .272" Nk. The Blue box brass changed a couple of times. I believe the reamer to get now is still .103"/.104" but with a .269" neck. Check with Dave Kiff at PTG as he has a ton of current info from...

    Gunsmithing 7mm saum free bore

Make a dummy to your desired OAL and let either PTG or JGS measure the free bore and grind the reamer accordingly.

    6.5x47 - if building a 700, is a bushed firing pin essential?

Yes Cliff, I'd bush it. Send it to Greg Tannel and let him turn the firing pin down to .0625" and install a bushing. Money well spent.

Bore patches absolutely will not come out clean :-(

When I shot molly this was the solvent mix of choice. Worked great. I use Butches now and haven't looked back.

Bore patches absolutely will not come out clean :-(

Guys, stop worrying about a slight discoloration on the patch after cleaning. Brass Jags / Brushes will always leave a slight bluing on the patch no matter how clean your barrel is. More damage is done cleaning than shooting but there are a few rules to follow. 1. Stop cleaning after every...

Gunsmithing Stupid Question (Maybe) on Muzzle Threads

Now .750" x 24 tpi Needed .620"/.625 x 24 tpi to fit Dial the barrel in, machine off .125" and re-thread to fit a gauge, done.

    260 barrel length

Personally, I wouldn't go shorter than 24" if I wanted to shoot to 1k. I have a 24" and it runs the 140 Berger VLD's at 2,790 / 2,800 with stellar accuracy. When I ran my 26" rifle ammo through the 24" rifle it lost 120 fps, 60 fps per inch and I lost the accuracy as well. I simply added powder...

Sidearms & Scatterguns Glock Cerakote Questions

Above is good, solid advice from a pro. You can also just remove all plastics from the slide and do 300 degrees for 45 minutes. Using an Iwatta LPH80 with a .8 tip, the colors will require you to open the material flow to 2 turns from 1.5. Spray for a wet look but keep your hand/spray gun...

Gunsmithing changing ejection angle on m16 extractor

This is an extractor from a LH bolt/receiver with the cut made to it. Take that into account if/when making your cuts. It isn't rocket science but it works great.

Gunsmithing Loaded round stuck in 338

Yea, kinda like a disclaimer statement more than anything. You seem to be more than a week end warrior and probably have a pretty good handle on it. At least you're thinking about it and trying to come up with a game plan, you'll be fine. Keep us posted. I have to say, I like the lathe idea that...

Gunsmithing Loaded round stuck in 338

**Seek the help of a professional gunsmith, use extreme caution** Pulling the barrel was step #1, congrats to you. Now, fill the bore with a penetrating oil like KROIL and let it soak over night. Chances are that it isn't stuck that bad/tight since it was inserted by hand. Slip a short piece...

    7mm 9.5 twist build for 180 bergers?

1-9 or faster for 180's. I run a 1-9 Krieger on my 7-300 and all I shoot are the 180's, great to a grand with zero issues. 1-9.25 or 1-9.5 will be a crap shoot with less than desirable results especially if a button barrel.
