Which bottom metals will work with Surgeon Actions

Re: Which bottom metals will work with Surgeon Actions If running the Surgeon 591 I'd run the Surgeon DBM. Dont worry about it hanging down under the rifle. You'll never know it's there. The magazine hangs lower than the DBM does.

    Gunsmithing Flush cup removal?

Re: Flush cup removal? Yes, I started drilling and then it broke loose. I reversed the drill and it came right out. I used a larger than needed drill and didnt run wide open. Soldering iron tip on the FC will transfer heat and sometimes brake it loose. If they used Marine Tex, it reacts...

    Gunsmithing Bedding Screw Up

Re: Bedding Screw Up On glue in BR's I've used an iron on top of the receiver to transfer heat to the bedding. Works good on most bedding compounds. The freezer also works good.

    accidental fire

Re: accidental fire Most of the AD's you hear about are due to dirty, un-serviced and poorly/improperly adjusted 700 triggers. I've owned/shot/worked on too many 700's to count and have never had an AD........ever! I have seen 700 triggers so full of dried oil that you had to wonder how it...
