Annealing, how much is to much?

I anneal every reload and haven’t had a problem. I do this for consistency between batches. My velocity remains constant, and I believe this is partly due to annealing with repeatable neck tension.

Movie Theater Star Wars: The Last Jedi

Let me put on my nerd glasses. General Hux didn’t use clones in his Army. This was seen when Kylo Ren told General Hux that clones would be better than his troops (after Finn betrayed the First Order). Some of the First Order troops volunteered, while others were kidnapped and forced to serve.

    Reloading Equipment Chargemaster Reducing Insert

I have two reducing inserts with the extra sleeve on my two 1500s. I also cut off the powder input by using a straw. I only overthrew 3 charges out of my last 350. Get one. It will make your Chargemaster more enjoyable.

Suppressors Load development after suppressor is attached

On my 6.5 x47, my TBAC Ultra 9 .30 cal POI shift is consistent. I’m not sure if it is luck, but I did not need to adjust my load. I still get same small groups with the suppressor on or off. On my cheap Rem 700 in .308, my group tightened after putting on the Ultra 9.

Improving eyesight through changes in diet or supplements

My optometrist recently told me to eat green vegetables daily and fish vs red meat. I asked about fish oil vs actual fish, and he replied that fish oil is a waste of money. He also said to cut down on phone/tv/computer use as much as possible.

    6.5x47 Lapua

Stainless31, thanks for the reply. I'm no longer doing load development with my 140 RDFs. I am able to get .333 MOA when shooting groups (.015 from lands) and am happy with my SD. Even though it is a slower velocity, elevation is constant at all distances. The downfall of the slower velocity...

Vectronix PLRF 15C cold weather issues

I use the PLRF15 and 25 at work. Occasionally a 15 will stop working. We send it back (warranty) for repair or replacement. We haven't had any issues with the 25s yet. Other than replacing the dying battery, have you checked your connections in the PLRF. Occasionally there is corrosion that...

Rifle Scopes Advice on which Spuhr mount for my setup

If you decide to get one through OpticsPlanet, end an email to their sales team and ask for a discount on whatever mount you want. I paid $360.55 for mine (free shipping). It was originally for sale for $410, but after asking for a discount, they cut the price. [email protected] or you can...

    Standard Deviation

I was able to get accurate barrel velocity from 5 rounds when using a Magnetospeed. I verified velocity out to 1000 yds. Only shooting 5 rounds met my intent. Take your numbers and apply it to shooting at distance. Other posters are spot on. The more rounds shot under chronograph, the more...

    Pure Ranging LRF Questions

I have a Kilo2000 and have used the 2200. The 2200 has a smaller aiming circle, and is easier to get a return on the intended location. Even though the Kilo2000 and 2200 work very well, a 7x viewer doesn’t cut it at distances over 900 yds, unless their is a nearby backdrop or large object close...

    Spotting scope with ranging reticle?

Vortex is releasing a mil and MOA eyepiece for their Razor 27-60 in 2018. I’ve used the Bushnell Legend T, and was not happy with it. It felt like a plastic toy when compared to the more expensive scopes. IOR Valdada makes a good spotting scope for over $2k, and the Leupold Mark 4 is pretty...

Rifle Scopes Advice on which Spuhr mount for my setup

I have a 3 MIL (10.3 MOA) SP-4302 on my B-25. This sits on my Surgeon (20 MOA base). The 30.3 MOA tilt has small shadowing with a 100 yd zero, but when I dial 2.8 mil for a 500 yd target, there is no shadow. The shadow disappears at 0.5 mil on my B-25. I can dial 30.0 mil before I max out my...

Rifle Scopes First long range scope purchase.Would like help choosing..

I've had great experience with my US Optics B-25. Other good long distance scopes I have seen are the Nightforce ATACR, S&B PMII, IOR Valdada, and Kahles. Good scopes are not cheap. For a new, good variable powered scope, you will need to pay $2,500 or more plus money for a mount/rings.
