    I hate how much I love the area 419 mount. Usually I hate adaptors and prefer simplicity, but the area 419 is the exception where stacking an adaptor makes your systems way simpler, to include if you ever want to use a brake.

    A lot of failures or inactions are such a shame too. In my opinion they border on the edge of fraud waste and abuse. ie DoD really wants to focus on armor defeat with mass issued rifles, but anyone who has spent time in the infantry understands that highly protected targets are killed more...

    I like the pano bridge a lot. If you value the pano-ability and can deal with the weight, then obviously the panobridge. If you don't value the pano-ability but value articulation and can deal with the weight... panobridge. If you don't value pano-ability or articulation, then RNVG wins out...

    The nx8 2.5-20 is small, light, and the low end is nice on an AR. The glass isn't up to ATACR qualities, but the adjustable parallax is going to allow you to resolve finer images at say 1000m than say a 1-8 or 1-10. If you want to jump higher I'd look at the S&B 3-20 US

    I might be a snob, but in pics 1 and 3 the photonis looks significantly worse. In my opinion, to the point of it being an operational liability (for fighting use)

    I'm super familiar with the reliability of set screw gas blocks. It's just a principle (that clearly doesn't really matter).
